My advice would be to ease into things. End game is all about full manual and switches but you don't have to start there. I learned manual by using revolution and slowly adding more actual presses over time. I came back to the game with no idea about eoc and i thought I'd never learn it. Now i only have about 3-5 things i actually click on aside from the monster itself. And you can slowly add in 1 item switch at a time. Like a shield if you're dual wielding. Eventually you'll load your preset and think "wow i bring significantly less food then when i started". That's another thing PRESETS! They are ridiculously useful! And you can have like 15 different ones

Buy one month of membership after you've got a few skills to level 60 and completed the majority of f2p quests. Then get 59 runecrafting and use the wicked hood to craft cosmic runes and vis wax daily as this will start building up money. You'll probably be able to easily pay for membership with bonds after that first month if you're already on KZfaq looking for guides. (Having paid one month with a credit card is also useful for proving to customer support that the account is yours if something dramatic like you losing your login email were to happen.)

I think some people need to realise as well is that they can't expect to get what they want right away. You may need to spend a ton of money and time to get to that goal you've set for yourself and not to get disheartened when it takes a while.

Another important tip, this is not a purely a combat game. There are a lot of noncombat things you can do in the game and quite a few can make very good afk profits (e.g. Archeology, Divination, Hunter, Agility, etc.). While the gp/hour might be lower on these than, say, telos, they are still pretty great. For people who like combat, there is plenty of that, but Runescape has a lot more to offer than just that.

When you get membership, you can buy the imcando duel wield weapons for 100 oddments (300 for all 3 styles). The biggest downside is that I believe you need to spend 100k gp to get the offhand, but I'm not 100% sure on this one. However, the great thing about these is that they scale from levels 1, 20, 40, 60, and 70. The pistols are even bolt weapons (superior to arrows/thrown weapons).

On the leveling the account rather than just making money in the beginning: invention machines and managing miscellania will make you a fair amount of money per hour without you even needing to do anything. By do anything I literally mean anything, you can be logged out and they are still making you money.

I've been playing this game for 20 years and I gotta say it's the only game that I continue to play because accomplishments on this game are comparable of those in real life tbh

Great guide but I gotta say that this was the first time when I hear that someone likes the quests in this game and it really is a shame that many important stuff like ancient curses are available only for those who are willing to spend lots of time for questing.

Do not be affraid to jump into bossing at low to mid levels. I recently maxed and just started bossing. I was always affraid of the death costs and that i wouldnt have good enough gear. Bosses are easier than you probably think. And once you learn you can start optimizing your kill times. Some of the most fun ive had in the 14 years ive played off and on.

Best advice was to play the game how they want. I have friends who've burnt out multiple times because they try to be efficient (myself as well). But since I've been playing in my own way I've been playing consistently for almost a year now. It took time to get to where I am, but it has been infinitely more enjoyable. Just finished my set of Ascension Crossbows and bow I've unlocked so much more content. I've never been more excited to play. Everything in the past has felt more like a journey than a chore since I've changed my perspective.

Try to train your combat stats with slayer and invention, if possible. Helps to not make the former as redundant. Getting invention unlocked to train with other skills helps with the same issue. Or find a skill that lets you train invention that you enjoy, so inv is just a side thought. (fishing for me)

Great advice, another tip i'd give is don't get too stuck into guides, just explore the game, i feel like a lot of things explain themselves and discovering how the game works yourself makes the information stick better and you have more fun making the discoveries on your own :)

So I am a semi long time player, I watch a lot of your guides, but I find it really hard to get into more of the higher PVM because I suck at learning from just watching a video. to add on the focus on getting good stats however. don't rush your stats either. like don't ed3 trash rush ur combat stats to 99. you wil basically ruin low/mid tier combat for yourself this way and you won't learn the combat system anough for mid/high tier pvm. even if you have the levels. just a small warning on things that can ruin the game for themselfs...

Experiment with different abilites. I can kill godwars bosses super easy using shield abilities better than focusing on max dps gear using mid tier gear.
