Great question and I think the answer in the minds of those currently in charge is "that can be the next guys problem". I think for those in charge now it's a matter of securing the short to mid term until they are out and they got theirs. A long term plan will be there but with the understanding it could be way off the mark.

Really excited to see Concord and hope it brings a true next gen original game to the genre like the finals has. I wonder if it will be f2p or mid priced like helldivers 2 no way its a $70 game.

I have a feeling this generation will last longer than people expect. With the switch 2 specs if accurate will make 3rd party developers not leave it behind .just my view. Ps5 pro will be the most powerful console for a while

It feels odd having positive PlayStation news today :D Maybe I'll wake up soon... :D + I don't want to say it again :D but I hope this is the start of us finally seeing some new SONY Studios Exclusives(I said it again) from the new CEO's ;)

My predictions (just for fun, I'm nobody) are: 2024 - concord and the astro bot Game, along the relaunch of certain ps3 remaster titles 2025: Sony sells the ps5 pro as the gta6 definitive machine, that same year they launch the scifi Cory barlog game and Wolverine. 2026: they go crazy. The last of us 3, horizon 3, Ghost of tsushima 2, Bloodborne remake, the new god of war. That's how I see things going forward.

yeah they normally go nuts with the games in the last 3 years of the system.to be honest i might not get a ps6 tell the last 3 years of its life just because of that

I highly doubt the ps5 will catch or surpass the ps4s success. The lack of 1st party games annnnnd communication is hurting Sony imo🤷🏾‍♂️

Have you even seen the earnings report? they are literally on par with PS4 now without needing to drop price which the PS4 had already done at this stage of its life cycle. Games have been constant since launch, yeah there’s going to be a dry spell over the next fiscal year but i wouldn’t say sony is hurting

PlayStation may be better than Xbox in console sells, but console sells as a whole is down but everyone at the same time is not like the PS4 days and the wii years but the only successful console manufacturer is Nintendo in console sales this generation

That's objectively incorrect. PS5 is doing very well. It's only tracking behind the PS4 by about 800k units, which is crazy considering it's $100 more expensive. Nintendo and Sony are doing very well in the console space. Microsoft is the only one not.

@@MBGwell if you consider Inflation 400$ in 2014 to 2019, would be worth in todays buying power from 536,17$ to 498$. So not really a point
