The librarian is a risk-reward proposition. On average it is only 5 mortal wounds. However, that is potentially 5 or more mortal wounds while engaged in combat, against a lone operative that is in ruins thinking they’re safe. It is one of those “yes you’re right on average - The strike squad will be more effective” - but a librarian can straight up do some damage that a strike squad is incapable of.

@@sw5949Not only can you choose to put it on the unit but him and the unit also benefit from his 4+ FNP against psychic. Although there is some debate over whether this is an "attack" or not since vortex itself is an "ability" but the backlash is its own thing. I bwlieve iirc there was a tourney ruling stating it DOES allow the FNP to work on his backlash hazard rolls. Edit: So yeah I confirmed it. Page 38 of core rules says ANY attack OR ability with osychic keyword is considered a psychic attack. The page on feel no pain confirms this as well. So he protects 50% chance to block the hazardous from hurting either libby OR his squad.

2nd Question - if I understand correctly in the Fixed list you have a Grand Master without a Unit (as well as Brother-Captain Stern)

Thanks for the all the videos you put out! Quick question - do you ever run competitive lists that include Land Raiders? Are Godhammers a good anti-tank option for GK?

yes, you can run a landraider if you like the model. the lascannons are great if you have a techpriet folow it and buff it hitting on 2s also having interceptors hop in and out of it.

@@40kDirtbags How does the viability of a land raider hold up post-dreadknights getting buffed though? Seems like a situation where another dreadknight and 40-45 extra points may be worth more than a raider right? It sucks because I just bought a raider for my GKs and now I'm wondering if a 3rd DK would have been a better choice vs loading up my strike and interceptor squads plus tech marines in a raider.

@@ajanderson7170 i think that's really good too, we have the best flamer on infantry in the game. I just like the champion's efficiency and the idea of a fights first, indirect fire, 7 force weapon, 4 incinerator unit. Ive had good results dropping it in for fixed.

I might be wrong but didnt you have Incinerators instead of Psycannons on your battleline troops like Strike and Imterceptor squads in your previous videos? Why the change? Most people ive talked to seem to prefer Incinerators on non terminator battleline like purifiers and strike for the guaranteed hit roll etc.. Also can you give an opinion on your favorite 1000 point lists?

Im happy putting crowe on the table abit salty they havent fixed iur vehicle points yet sm storm raven was 240 now 260 ours 265 all of 10th with similar points differences on all fliers despite having same rule and profile

@40kDirtbags I expected it they got a buff figured we'd get some tax though we talked about this before I assumed they would hit grand master dread with epic hero so he can't take sigil like they did to ctan I wouldn't of minded that and maybe making him 225 and giving him advance shoot and charge so weird trying to get him into melee

I’ve made my list like that (greatly inspired by both Derek and Victor Bergenholtz, Team Norway, recently interviewed by Happy Krumpin 🙏): - Kaldor Draigo + 5 Brotherhood Terminators - Brother-Captain Stern - Brotherhood Techmarine - Strike Squad (120pts) - Land Raider Redeemer - 3x Nemesis Dreadknight - Callidus Assassin - Canis Rex Total: 1995pts ( new points update) Sub-optimal, probably (I don’t play very often anymore, and not competitively), but very fun and easy to paint!

i use flamers, but some us psycannons. its not a bad idea to have 4 of each heavy weapon to sub out in different units when needed.

Lucky lol. My lists keep going up. First it was my Ultramarine vanguard list (+20 for 2 aggressor squads, +20 for 2 scout squads, +20 for 2 centurion dev squads, +10 for redemptor, thankfully i got -10 for Bobby G and -10 for Sternguard but still a 50 point jump) Now my GK list went up +10 for libby +20 for two techmarines, +10 for dreadknight, etc.. ) 30 pts dont seem like much but that screws me out of either sigil or first to the fray etc..
