► Today has been a huge day for Pokemon! A new trailer came out, showing off the Isle Of Armor and Crowned Tundra, gave us the release date for the Isle of Armor (June 17th!) and revealed Galarian Slowbro - but it didn't reveal everything! The official Pokemon Sword and Shield Website just updated, showing off the new Pokemon and giving us the typing for the Galarian forms of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, as well as giving us the names for the new Regis - Regieleci and Regidraco!

I was actually shocked when I finished editing this video that it was 15 minutes long, really went by fast for me 😂 Hope you're enjoying the coverage, another new video in a couple of hours! Correction - Berserk isn't a new ability, it was previously the signature ability of Drampa! It boosts the Pokémon's Special Attack stat when it takes a hit that causes its HP to become half or less. Thanks friends in the comments for letting me know! :)

i mean, regular slowbro technically should have poison typing aswell. by the logic gamefreak has applied here theres literally no difference between regular one and galar one except they decided to give it a bullcrap logic for the type change. if the bite is what made the chemical reaction in its body why doesnt it react the same way when its bit on the tail? i would have prefered for him to be psychic/fighting since he uses the shell more as a weapon. third evolution could gain a more drill like shell and would be more like a proper KNIGHT instead of a slowKING.

@SamuiBaluga i will say what you are pointing is secondary thing. The thing we should notice first is they have completely destroyed the concept of Slowbro here. Regular Slowbro uses Shellder on its tail's help to stand on 2 feets. Now the same shellder is in hand for galarian form so technically that Slowbro shouldn't be able to stand.

@@MaribelYarn maybe something that gives priority. Or it's all meant to be completely misleading. It wouldn't be the first time a pokemon has been described as being fast, but having a disappointing speed stat.

It’s those spices. The info we have says they occasionally invigorate slowpokes brain, so it must be true for slowbro too. Also the shellder biting down on its hand drives it crazy, so maybe that’s also part of it.

Berserk is actually Drampa's signature ability that causes special attack to increase when more than half of the pokemon's hp is lost with a single attack.

@@AbasiMatthew Actually roost combined with that ability would be a great balancing tool, cause Zapdos is the weakest of this new trio, bring that its fighting stab is only neutral against Moltres but roost eliminates the flying type making Zapdos super effective again, That is cleaver if intentional!

Slowbro was already one of my favorite pokemon, so giving him the ability to become a sweeper is awesome to me. Give him a good special attack and his new move good damage and he can take down pretty much any prominent fairy type

I found something really interesting. You know how a lot of Sword and Shield is based on the tales of King Arthur? Well, there’s a character called “Sir Bedivere” that loses his hand in service of King Arthur. Wikipedia has this quote about him: “They fell by the hundred / before Bedwyr of the Perfect-Sinew. On the shores of Tryfrwyd / fighting with Garwlwyd / furious was his nature / with sword and shield.[2]” His furious fighting seems to line up with how slowbro lashes out at everything when shellder bites down on its hand. And slowbro has shellder on its hand, like how Sir Bedivere lost a hand. And “sword and shield” are literally mentioned. Also, I think it explains the shellder on his arm. “the wielder of *a magic lance.[5]* He is called upon to accompany Culhwch on his quest to win Olwen's hand in marriage and is the first knight to strike the giant Ysbaddaden with *the poisoned spear* meant for Culhwch.”

Yeah, but moltres' flying negates the fighting weakness so Zapdos went from being the bird most likely to win against the other two to being the one least likely to win against either.

@@pascalschwerdtmann4397 DISGRACE Okay it's a Normal Dragon Type. He looks high and has an ability called Beserk, which raises his Special Attack when his HP is under half, which makes him excellent for Weakness Policy with his okay defense. His moveset can pack Energy Ball, Signal Beams, or Ice Beams, and even a strong Draco Meteor when required.

Even though the Galarian Legendary birds have new types, they still have some synchronization or huge similarity with their original forms' types. They still has their original birds' instinct. check out their moves: Galarian Articuno has Freezing Glare which has some similarity with its original Ice type. Galarian Zapdos has Thunderous Kick which has some similarity with its original Electric type. Galarian Moltres has Fiery Wrath which has some similarity with its original Fire type too. Truly, that's great!

Im still genuinely hoping they bring back all the starter lines, things like Blaziken and Greninja would be overused as all heck in competetive battles. I mean look at Blaziken, it was so good in gen 6 and 7 it was literally banned for being so good

@@ScrappySlowbro Except it will not, since Cinderace doesn't have the moveset to support Libero (It only benefits from Fighting, Flying, Normal and Psychic). The rest of its move let it keep its Ground weakness or are Special (Shadow Ball/Electro Ball).

Not to mention Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Spore, Beak Blast, Ice Burn, Steam Eruption, Tri Attack, Secret Power (when used on snow, grass or plain terrain), Body Slam, Bounce, Dragon Breath, Force Palm, Freeze Shock, G-Max Befuddle, Glare, Lick, G-Max Stun Shock and Twineedle.

It's cool that they found another sort of rock-paper-scissors thing for the three birds that isn't the usual fire, water, grass setup. Dark, Fighting, Psychic is a much more interesting rock paper scissors motif.

@Chris P. Chicken if it's exactly like the moves Water Spout and Eruption, what it's HP stat is shouldn't be a factor cause it's power will be at it's strongest as long as it's at full HP regardless of what number that HP stat is and said moves power would decrease the more damage it's taken~

I’m personally really digging Galarian Articuno, it’s by far my fave of the three Galarian birds. Tho I’m mainly excited to learn more about Calyrex, I’m looking forward to the Regis and returning box art Pokemon (namely Ho-oh, Dialga, Reshiram, and Xerneas)

Maybe quick draw will boost the priority of its poison type moves? Poison sting all the way to poison fang and tail and even acid and or toxic and poison spikes?? Would be a really cool way to get him into the meta as a setup pokemon

Wow, I can't believe I just thought of this. Regirock is physically bulky, Regice is specially bulky and Registeel is balanced and has less bulk than the others in their respective side. These two new Regis look to be physically and specially offensive to the same extent Regirock and Registeel are defensive.

Back in the day, the tried to balance the birds according with their types (Which doesn't make sense having an ice type and an electric type bird, but I digress). And now we get Psychic, Fighting and Dark birds. Nice!

Oh... so my prediction is wrong I thought that the legendary birds do not have the flying type anymore. But my prediction is partially correct. My prediction is that moltres have dark and fire, articuno have ice and psychic, and zapdos have lightning and fighting.

I feel like Arcticuno, Zapdos, and Moltres should NOT have gotten regional variants and new typings. That changes their meaning Acrticuno - Arctic obviously means ice, so its weird to have that changed type.
