canceled it now mush they delayed the delivery by another 6 months after id waited 4 already but the invoice was for £19.7k

Why has it been delayed? I wanted mine on command but the seller told us I had to wait until end of March because of new regulations (so VW needs to make some changes). But I ended up buying one already in the stock (not a GTI, a comfortline) that I received in one week.

I own the GTI Clubsport DSG (seen at my channel) And i can tell you this is one of the very few minuses iv noticed. The "Kaaa-Paaaooowwwsss" however sound Amazing. Especially when u roll down sunroof and switch gears in a tunnel or similar! 😈 🤣

The software might have been anticipating a lower gear change. Check at 3:50 when it’s actually anticipating an upshift it’s instant. This happens in a lot of dual clutch gearbox.

It has a little lag yes. Especially in normal mode maybe half a second. I. Sport it seems quicker but it still isn't instant.

Pako Wame Yeah on the burn-in period of engine. But it depends how u want your car, drive it hard and it will go hard. Drive it slow and it gets slower. If you want it to last as long as possible though, you take abit extra care on the burn-in period on a new car. You need to check with your dealer how long that period is for your specific car.

Not sure about the theory regarding drive-it-slow it becomes slow. The rule I go by is with any car(especially turbo-charged): I don't rev the engine extremely hard when the engine's oil temperature has not reached operating temperature. If not doing so, you can cause premature wear on the internal parts of the engine, as well as the turbo charger. Just a fun fact - doing a quick search, turbo's operate in a range of 280 000 RPM's. In terms of answering your question directly - my knowledge is limited in terms of engine design. What I do know is the fact that the rings and the pistons (and maybe other components that I'm not aware of) go through a process called seating if I'm not mistaken? Stand to be corrected - the short explanation: the rings and pistons "carve" into the block. Much like the process of a bullet exiting the chamber of a pistol, giving it an unique "signature". You'll often hear a lot of people say they feel their new vehicle's engine is "stiff" and heavier on fuel. That's most probably due to the explanation I gave above. Disclaimer: keyboard warriors my statement(s) above is not based on years of scientific research and stand to be corrected.

I read that one is planned for August....as is the GTI+. The plus model doesn't appear to offer a great deal more, just some of the optional extras for the GTI thrown in as standard, like the Active Info dash.
