In this video, I am doing a retail review of the newly released 2022 Panini Select Football Target Blaster & Mega Boxes. The blaster boxes cost $29.99 (plus tax) and the mega boxes cost $59.99 (plus tax). These were purchased online from Target's website. The main chase in this product are the Zebra parallels, which are case hits, but you can also pull autographs and memorabilia cards.
This is the third year that Select has been released as a retail product and it is loaded with die cuts and rookies. There is a 300 card base set, with three different levels: Concourse, Premiere, and Club. The hobby version contains an additional 100 field level cards, but those are not available in retail. We are searching for the following rookie quarterbacks: Brock Purdy, Kenny Pickett, Desmond Ridder, Sam Howell, Malik Willis, and Bailey Zappe. Outside of the rookie QB's, we are hoping to pull Garrett Wilson, Drake London, Chris Olave, Isiah Pacheco, Damien Pierce, and more!

I think my Walmart messed up cause they were selling megas for $35. I was like wait whatttt really? And they said yep its a mistake we can mark them down. I said sure let me grab a couple! Lol

Thanks for preview. Havent had a chance at select yet but Donruss Optic wal-Mart Blasters have been really good to me. I only opened 3 boxes but pulled a Treylon Burks First Year Fresh 3 color patch Gold /10 and a SSP Tom Brady “Blazers” Card (which i believe is also a case hit with DT’s?) and a Brock Purdy Base. So loved the optic (atleast for me, probs got lucky but we’ll see on a Select Blaster & Mega) thanks again

I've opened 10 blasters and 4 megas thus far. I pulled a zebra out of each format. I got an Alec Pierce from a Mega and a Jaquan Brisker from a blaster. I've also pulled 2 autos: Steve Grogan and Antwan Randle El. In same blaster as Randle El I pulled a rookie selections jersey of Breece Hall. The best die cut I hit was a Bailey Zappe/35. I've pulled 8 total numbered die cuts...my friend pulled a Desmond Ridder Rookie Selections tie dye and Jameson Williams bronze /99 out of same pack. I think both formats are unbelievable and between the 2 of us we aren't even a hobby box price into them yet.

I am waiting on 3 blasters from Target and 1 mega from Walmart, Starting into this vid, all the other videos show blasters doing better imo, lets see how you do. I have not seen that insert of Drake London before, nice hit. Seems like it was pretty much an equal rip between them. Thanks for the vid, good stuff. Looking forward to seeing Nikki and you battling these a few times more.

i feel like select retail has been watered down. obviously, only have maybe 2 chase qbs doesnt help, but it seems like there are just far too many die cuts lol.

I’ve been ripping a lot of Select retail lately. I think I give the slight edge to blaster boxes. Pulled a gold /10 Mahomes in a blaster acouple days ago 😮

Man, in 19' the most expensive mega was $50, but you got guaranteed ink and other hits. $60 and no guaranteed hits? No Thank You. Booooo 😅 I have yet to see a retail box of Select that has impressed me yet. Id rather have R&S or Optic. Thanks for sharing! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌

Before: The answer is always Blasters. Might be a bit of Gambler's Fallacy, but if you get skunked on the first box, you have hope in the second to land that case hit. One bad Mega, and its over. After: I don't think I'll ever be swayed. Blasters all the way.

Select blaster might be the biggest loser up there with Prizm. Its as if they took their best products and over produced retail versions since they knew the hyoe would sell. Maked sense from business standpoint. Optic, Donruss, Prestige and Absolute Blasters have been the only ones to bring satisfaction, personally.
