"PS5 SLIM" The new slim looks amazing! I got the Og for a cheaper price and would just buy a M.2 ssd to save money😊 I'll love to see the all new black matte covers for the slim! Congrats to all the people who got their hands on a Ps5, others can't even afford it. So be grateful for what you have, even if it's an Og or a Slim❤! Both are the same console😊.

Useful tip : check the FCC number of your controller on its back. if it ends with "1" your controller is a 1st generation controller and is more susceptible to malfunctions and stick drift. if it ends with "A" its the 2nd generation of controllers that have been improved regarding stick drift and other things. Feel free to add more specifications in case I forgot some

I love the new console! Every detail, the functionality is excellent and the appearance is even better. The only problem I see is the controller. I've had this console since Christmas and it's already broken. But overall I rate it 8/10

the older model has actually gone up in price, atleast from what I've seen, but Sony is directly selling the slim for $499. that's the better route to go if you haven't bought one.

'ps5 slim' does the slim now have a external power supply now like other slim models of days past ? it would be interesting to see a bench test done on the 2 models to see how much the heat soak levels have changed from the rear exhaust area of the console , has the ps5 slim got the same cpu as the ps5 fat 3rd version ? the 3 versions of the ps5 fat models changed alot over the years , just wondering what they changed in the new slim . i still think the ps2 ps3 & ps4 were all better than the ps5 , i think the ps5 has been overwhelmingly underwhelming .

Hi! I just received my Slim and operate it horizontally. If you need/want to operate it vertically, please be aware that there are ventilation holes (inlets, I suppose) on the bottom side. So if you place it vertically on a flat surface without the stand, I could imagine that this will have an affect on ventilation, but I cannot say that for sure, as I don't have the stand. It looks like the stand elevates the console just a bit to allow for proper airflow... Speaking from a simple mechanical/balance standpoint (pun 100% intended 😉), I would say it doesn't need the stand for operating it vertically, if it's not in an exposed place, where one could knock it over easily. I got mine for my birthday 2 weeks ago and I love it I have to test it first making sure it works along with no defects by playing a bit of Astro’s playroom. my first game I got for this is Soul Hackers 2 since I’m a huge shin megami tensei fan. plus there’s only 3 days left till the dark hour comes (persona 3 reload) and 30 days till we get to the promise land (Final Fantasy VII Rebirth). Fun fact I preordered those two games back in November 😂
