New PURE:LIMIT - I love you, SONIBLE!

Welcome back, Internetians! Sonible has jus released their new pure:limit, so I had to jump right into it. And, well, the guys from Austria gave me just one more reason to love them. It's not about certain algorithms or functions this time, it's about something else... Enjoy!

Ah, I did all the vid recording, editing, coloring, audio posting and uploading in less than 3 hrs. My new personal best, yeeea!

I'm a pro.... Nearly 4 decades, and I love this thing. I bought it right away, and put it to work right away, and I have Smart Limit too!

Very interesting : i compared both limiters side by side in my studio,and the same i hear now : to my ears the Pure Limit sounds a bit more transparent and i hear the kick and snare transients clearer. Of course,the Smart Limiter sounds great,and has more settings and features,but i love them both.

i bought the whole bundle of sonible plugs and i couldnt be happier, i dropped my subscription with izotope and sonible just seems better to me.

Smart:EQ and Smart:Comp are my goto plugins if I feel a bit short in time or flustered getting a sound balanced correctly. Love Sonible myself. It just works.

T-Compressor has a similar appeal to it for compression. While it doesn't have the smart, learning functionality, it has a simple knob and a few extra controls that make me focus less on the number and more on the sound. Thank you Pawel! Very informative video! I'll be in Warsaw tomorrow for a couple of hours and I'll be thinking of you!

For some reason I heard that the Smart limit is a little more clean and less aggressive in his saturation, is minimal, but is there. Anyways great plugins both!

I'm pretty sure the "inflate" parameter is a linked saturation and bass control, so comparing it with inflate of 12 to smart:limit with saturation on 12 isn't going to be a perfect match.

Sonible license allows you to install the plug-in on only two computers. If it would be 3 it would be deal.Fabfilter allows to install on all owned computers.

Is the pure limit plugin only meant for mixbus limiting or can you also use it on single tracks like a bass for example? When I see it right the profiles you can choose are only musical genres and not instruments. In the sense of „L2 on everything“.

I think you can use "Universal" and you don't have to use learn function. It should work as a bus limiter, but hey, have you tried clipping instead of limiting?

Did anybody notice issues with groups in smart eq3 when they installed this? I'm talking to the team to get it resolved but the group functionality in some of my Ableton project stopped working correctly when I installed and used. Hopefully we will find a solution. I wonder if anybody else had this?

Smart Limit, Focusrite Fast limiter by Sonible , do we still need this? Both are already super simple. The EQ already exist in simple way, it’s callled Balancer and was even free

The only questions I have are dealing with LUFS levels. You can't set them in this plugin. Does it really matter if our LUFS levels are too low or too high for different platforms? My music is usually too soft, and KZfaq doesn't turn it up. Maybe having it too high is better? I love the simplicity of this plugin. I'm sick of trying to dial in everything with Fabfilter Pro-L2.

Actually - yes. When you make it too loud, YT will turn the playback down automatically to -14 LUFS!

Hey! I don't actually use it, but it's a limiter, so it's meant to be the last element in your mastering chain.

Sonible smart eq does random strange things with your audio and is marketized as a wonder tool. So.... I dont know about that non BS marmeting ;)

Smart:EQ 3 does actually wonderful job on dialogue premixes, for example, and I use it all the time :)

@@FoliaSound It does on some things and some not :) When i put it on my track I sometimes get exaclty the same curves regardless of material or the curves simply destroy the sound. But other smarts work well. I just think it is the most difficult to make an EQ smart. Balancing eq yes but for mixing it is just too much.

Hej. Subskrybuję Twój kanał, ale nie dam kciuka w górę. Nie dla tego, że zrobiłeś zły materiał, ale dlatego że już raz prosiłem Ciebie o chociaż jeden filmik w w języku polskim. Odesłałeś mnie na Facebooka, a musisz wiedzieć, że nie każdy Polak korzysta z tego portalu i tym podobnych. Miałem nadzieję że mój rodak zrozumie że tysiące Polaków oczekuje tego, że ich ziomal nakręci coś po polsku. Pozdrawiam.

Cześć! Polska widownia mojego kanału to wg statystyk, do których mam dostęp, około 500 osób. Bardzo się cieszę, że mam tylu widzów z Polski, ale muszę wyraźnie to powiedzieć: mój kanał od początku był i będzie nadal anglojęzyczny, ponieważ celuję w publiczność międzynarodową, w tym oczywiście polską. Wrzucanie pojedynczego filmu polskiego na kanał anglojęzyczny to kompletny samobój, który zakończy się masowym odpływem widzów z całego świata, więc niestety - to się nie wydarzy. Pozdrowienia!
