I actually got chills, with the side effects of the goosebumps traveling up and down my arms! She reminds me of “Janice Joplin!” Sign that girl, UP! Her sound is amazingly FUNKY!!!!

I thought of JANIS JOPLIN, too. (She’s got a little TINA TURNER in there, too.) She was already gone when I first heard of her, but I have been mesmerized by the pain and soul in the performances (especially live recorded ones) I have seen. Wonder if JANIS’ voice would have been clearer like this woman’s, if not for the drugs?🥹 In any case, BRAVA!!!🎉

what an amazing voice, she's just 19 unbelievable, she sounds like a seasoned pro singer. Close your eyes and you think you are listening to Janice Joplin just WOW!!, she is going to go far as a singer.

Of course Karise has an amazing voice. She absolutely had to give everything to get through the audition and win the battle. But her control was quite raw. Too much vibrato and you can tell she was stretching to belt out those amazing notes. I was worried that it would be difficult for her to rein in and ground herself. But then Seal stepped in and said exactly what she needed to hear. And as a show of how good a performer she is, she took on everything he said. Her rendition of Nothing's Real But Love was perfection. Then followed through with Landslide and Hallelujah with the voice of an angel to get her through to the lives. Congrats Karise, you deserve everything!

This video makes me cry every time I watch it. When Seal says she'll never know how much she's given to me just breaks me. The times all I could do with my daughter when her heart was broken was to hold hr and look up at the heavens and ask to have her pain taken away and given to me to bear . Oh it just breaks me.

My favorite two moments are when seal picked her up at the auditions, completely unexpected....and joels reaction to her singing hallelujah. He was 100% in.

I can't tell you how many times I have watched this performance over the last several years and she is amazing and she's so young and I think her and seal together was a perfect match and honestly this has got to be the best audition for James Brown song ever and maybe even one of the best James Brown's covers of all time😊😊
