This is the all-new Range Rover!
Now on first impressions, you might think the new Range Rover isn’t that different to the previous generation… And you’d be right! Apart from a few minor exterior upgrades, it looks exactly the same. Not only that, but both the interior and back seats are basically identical to the old model!
But there's one key change you can't see from the outside... It's a hybrid!
So you’re probably wondering what you actually get for your £89,000? Well even as a hybrid the 2,600kg Range Rover can still perform, putting down 404hp and 640Nm of torque! Not only that, but now it’s a hybrid, it’s claimed it can achieve 84mpg!

@@rolutarboi1306 not rich at all lol, they have been great except for one which was a 2013 with 70k miles and I had to do the timing chain. Otherwise others had 0 issues

@@Ocean-blvd. I buy all my cars, by rent do you mean lease the vehicle? Like a 2 year term? Lease is good if your only using is for 2 years, using it for a business in order to get some tax deductions, which would make up the difference end of the year because payments would be high on a lease. If you get one a few years old, I’d say buy Forsure, they’ve went back up in value and are going to continue to rise and hold value for few more years.

The seats were working, they just stopped folding because it was moving the front seats forward to make enough room. You can see the drivers seat moving forward slightly at the start.

@Do One Tf is your problem? If you watch the drivers seat closely, you'll see it move forward to make room for the rear seats to fold down. There is absolutely no reason to be a dickhead. And yeah, JLR are known for their problems, I'm not some blindsided fanboy, I'm just simply stating a fact of how the seat folding mechanism works.

By the way, the seats pause for a moment when folding down to allow the front seats to move forwards and out of the way of the rear headrests. Keep the button held down, and it will continue.

I know I’m like four months late, but I think the reason they stopped was maybe because the front seats have to move forward slightly to make room for the head rest as the seats fold down. I know that it happens at least in the discovery so it might be the same for the Range Rover. I think there’s a part of the video where you can hear a little bit of a whirring while the backseats aren’t moving which I think might be the front seats moving

I have a 2020 full size Range Rover and the front seats move up a bit before the back seats can go down. So, there was nothing wrong with the seats in the video.

The seats in the RR do fold seamlessly and without hassle. Mat perhaps didn't notice that the front seats move forward first to allow space for the headrest when the seats are lowered flat.

Well, it’s definitely the most dignified SUV. Not some inflated hatchback, but built as a luxury off road vehicle with a proper four wheel drive system. Yes, yes, reliability, and so on… apparently depending on the driver from what I’ve heard.

Rear seats fold, they get to a point of fold where they stop to allow the front seats to get out of the way, they then continue to flat fold. You need the headrests down often to get them rear seats all the way down

Hi Mat, love your reviews, best on the net by far. Btw the rear seats were not folding for a bit coz the system was moving the front seats to fold them rear properly without causing any damage. It took me a while to understand as well.

7 series, S Class, A8. £40,000 depreciation pretty much after 2 years and 20k miles or so. Probably half that for the Vogue as they are still 60k vs 30k for the Germans.

@Pulse Blade I had multiple problems with both ive had and won’t own again and besides that they’re actually the number one most unreliable manufacturer in the world and have 6 cars in the top 10 for models too. Look great no doubt but you don’t become the number one most unreliable manufacturer by being good. The problems are almost all electrical. I worked for them for 12 years and the customer satisfaction surveys etc where shocking, you’re one of the few lucky ones and I actually envy that as I style wise etc I love them

@@ThomasMulliganFlute kW indicate Power, and it’s an instantaneous physical quantity, you don’t need an amount of time to produce a determinate amount of power, but energy! The energy is power*time, and that is measured in kWh. If you produce (for example) 50 kW, it means that in that precise instant, your output is 50 kW, it’s like speed: you don’t need an hour to travel at 50 mph, you need an hour to travel for 50 miles at a constant speed of 50 mph, in the same way you need an hour to produce 50 kWh while producing constantly 50 kW.

5 minutes into the video and the rear seats already started malfunctioning

It moves the front seats so they don't come in contact with eachother. You can see it in the video that they actually move. When the rear seats are completely down the front seats go back into correct position. ;) I find it weird that a british car journalist didn't know or even realize.

@@DefinitelyNotEmma why would you say that? Thd interior is luxurious and the ride is amazing and really comfortable, reliability is the only reason to avoid it.

@@lex_uss because the Cayenne has a nicer interior and it was more fun as a passenger because the Cayenne is a more wild car :D Both look pretty cool though.

Thought it would be a review of the new straight six diesel (D300, D350) or petrol (P400) models. How is this particular model in the video different from the facelift model introduced in 2018?

Got the Sport P400e same drive train as the one in the video and it's very impressive. As long as its got charge, it'll easily do 150mpg and when it runs out then 24-30 depending on how you drive. Lots of punch from the engine too, if you put it in dynamic mode it bolts off the line a lot faster as the engine is ready to kick in. Trying to find out whether it's exempt from congestion charge though! anybody know?
