Having recently placed a pre-order for my first ever Rapido locomotives (the upcoming ALCO PA-1), this has me more excited than ever about them! I can't wait until February!!!!

These are fantastic! With Athearn having just announced a new run of Bombardier Bilevels, this should be the ideal power to pull them alongside their F59PHIs.

Got to admit the F59PH even after 30 years of service look pretty good especially as they storm down the line with their thundering 710 prime mover. I always wanted a model of this legendary workhorse. It be nice if they also made it in the NCDOT Piedmont scheme as well. Will definetly be getting this one in the Metrolink Phase I "Blue Nose" scheme.

Wow these are REALLY butifull, I love to front plate on the handrails on the GO transit loco. Also it's me Dwights model railroad and I'll need to stop babbling on about the S.P but to bad the S.P wasn't around when these locos in real life were released. I got one coming! I can repaint it to my freelanced commuter system OnTrack. This engine will replace all of Athearn's F59-PHI along with a few others. I done reviews on a few of you guys products. One will surely be coming about this engine here!

Interesting that they didn't use the competition's Go transit cars. I do plan on getting one to go with my competition Metrolink cars.

Serious question here: Are those three blocks of wood the same weight and pulling characteristics as ten of the Athearn Bombardier Bi-Levels? Or are we going to need to model the later years of F59PH operations and double-head those trains to ensure they get to their destinations on time?

RBRX leased 18520, 22, and 33 to Metrolink in 2013, after AMT didn't need them. They were bought by LETX in 2017.

yay a beautiful majestic F59PH :D. possibly my favorite but since us Californians are mean they are scrapping all of metrolinks F59s and scrapping them :(

A question about the later Metrolink models: will they have a Nathan P2 recording? More often than not, a SCAX F59 would have one, although there was a small chunk of them with K5LAs and hybrid horns.

Will you guys be having the p2 on the metrolink? And if so, will it be able to blow the k5la along with the p2?
