I remember my high school English teacher using Tupac's The Rose That Grew from Concrete to teach us about allegories and other literary devices. Tupac's music has survived decades and inspired thousands, his music and lyrics have meaning and purpose and can be used to educate. Lil Xan music used to torture prisoners at Guantanamo

I really like how everybody just seems to agree that Tupac was not only one of the greatest of all time but his message extended past his music and it pushed people to want to understand and be better people. That's his enduring Legacy not the wonderful beautiful music that he made but the message that he gave to people who needed guidance.

The 90s was without a doubt the greatest period in the history of hip-hop. All the greatest rappers was either born or active at that time. The 80s founded the music, but it exploded during the 90s, and ever since 2010 it has just gone worse and worse. So many bad rappers today.

User sorry it's the 1980s because rap was rising and started the get on mainstream tv and radio once Sugarhill Gang Rappers Delight gained momentum,same with Kurtis Blow the Breaks.Then Run DMC got big,I witnesss all that my guy.The 1990s yes hip hop went another level,but gangsta rap got big and controversial.Conscious rap faded early 2000s.You don't hear too many conscious rap today,too much trash and oversexualized hoochies like Sexxy Redd who are industry plants

I used to not like Tupac and thought his music was boring, but I gave the music a try and love it, absolutely love it. He hits every note perfectly, Eminem, even said he was able to put rhymes and flows somehow that didnt match on a beat, but some how made it work.

The last line is absolutely true, as a remixer I was surprised to see how 2pac can sync with almost any beat that isn't even the same bpm as the original song, that requires alot of skill and talent to record those type of songs, he probably knew about his young death and wanted his music to go on by creating Acapellas that can further create hundreds of different versions of the song by remixing, a true genius 👑

I, who live in another country other than usa, read his (pac) biography in full and translated all his songs for myself. (English language is not my mother tongue) but about the rest of the names, I didn't hear them even once (other than xxx) because they mostly have a local meaning for usa.
