I am a proud individual I will always question authority, I will always show up late for and fail a PT test I refuse to call my superiors By thier rank. I will always be a weak chin. Learning poetry in class right now and someone joining the army had a Soldier’s Creed pamphlet that we analyzed for literary devices. Have it almost memorized myself now!

I’m gonna be real. I’d forgotten the words to the Soldier’s Creed, and looking it up brought me to this video. As soon as I heard those young soldiers sounding off in unison, all the words came flooding back, as I’d never forgotten them. It’s like I was back in the ranks, sounding off in formation. The effects of Basic Training are real, and stay with you for life.

Serving for the American people as a member of the 182nd infantry in Afghanistan was most important thing I have ever done. I would hand my Medal of Honor back to the Commander and Cheif to do it again. God bless you all

I would never disrespect a soldiers rank. That rank is earned not given. I left with the rank of Corporal. And I gave everything to earn it. I could care less honestly about medals. It was a blessing to earn the highest one but I would hand it back to serve again. It was the only place I felt safe even in combat. When I had fellow soldiers by my side that was home. Military is about family and brotherhood. Even when rounds were flying and some cought in my vest I knew I was okay. And if one of those rounds penatrated my vest I knew I would die with a fellow soldier holding my hand. I honestly couldn't ask for a better way to go.
