Yeah! Now Tekton is like every single other brand, 12pt in a world of 6pt fasteners! 🎉 So glad I got the Tekton 6pt double box flex on their closeout, longs and shorts. Just baffles me the 6pt king Tekton has defected 180' to all 12s. I guess they should just start reboxing gearwrench and call it good 👍

I think I would prefer the ones made by kabo with the zero degree offset \ that extra lip that protrudes beyond the chrome part of the wrench. Platinum has a seven piece set it does skip a few sizes going from 8-10 12-14 13-15 16-18 17-19 then 21-22 and 24-25 I believe

Great looking wrenches! I prefer the 12 point over the spline drive. I find nothing wrong with the satin finish. If you look at any veteran mechanic's chrome tools, they will be dulled to an almost satin finish from daily use. Might as well start out with satin. It would be a nice touch if they had a switching mechanism like the Snap on version, although it would make for a bulky head. Overall I like the look of these wrenches.

Really nice, Tekton has a few other new tools on there site. I like Tekon tools, some of them can be pricey but they are nice. Thanks for the video

I wanna get one of there new ratchets, the 3/8 drive in the 1/4 inch body. They have a whole new line up.

I have a decent amount of Tekton Tools that include their previous style, long ranch and a six point. I prefer the traditional polished finish, and I wish they would have come as a reversible. My .02

These are very nice...that satin finish is cool because it hides the scratches, Also they have optios for storage, no storage, the rack, tool roll, or modular. I think I'd go modular, wrenches are stored on edge, they take up the least amount of room & you can go bigger or smaller. Check out their modular system, it's cool!

Great looking wrenches and I’d say best bang for the money.. I bought the Mountain set two years ago, which I like because of the direction button, but I really am glad Tekton finally released their version. That extra 6x7 is a nice bonus most of these set don’t carry that.. Tekton also has an incredible return policy it’s no frills .. I think I’ll be getting this set soon as extras

Their newly released reverse ratcheting wrenches look nice too. I really do wish that they went 90 tooth though. I also wish that they had put some sort of anti slip design on their open-ended reversible and flex head ratcheting wrench versions as well. Once you've had a wrench with an anti slip design on the open end, you just can't go back.

I was between this and icon. I bought icon because I found a set on ebay new for well under any discounted price. And I live 20 mins from HFT. I will see how I like the switch style selector compared to the flip method lol

Tempted to get the older version with 6pt. Live in the rust belt so 6pt is a bit more useful for me. I like the craftsman ones as well just not fond of the skips. That and not sure of the size difference.

I like the directional arrow that’s an improvement! I didn’t mind the 6 point but the 12 point is a little faster to use so I like that. The satin finish I just don’t know how to feel about it yet. I think I’d have to have it in hand to give a true opinion but I do really like standard chrome but it doesn’t look bad! Same 72 tooth count which seems to be a good sweet spot they stay pretty strong. This was my first look at the new Tektons didn’t even know they came out yet till your video last night.

Great job. Honestly I'm most excited for the reversible wrenches they are releasing. Can't wait to see those. And honestly I didn't care for the satin chrome finish. But they actually look better in your video then they do on the website. I think they look very nice. I do think they should have gone 90t though. Great job see you tomorrow

I have a set of those in chrome. I wonder it those are longer. I have the mountain ones as well. Love them both. They both have their place. I don’t like when the switch on the mountain accidentally gets pressed. I also have a set by Tone very similar to vim tools dfxl set.

The satin finish is more difficult to clean than chrome. Great job Tekton! Snap on costs $800. They have always provided quality tools that are affordable.

Torn between these and the Gearwrench set. I like how these have more sizes but I also like the non ratcheting end of the Gearwrench for breaking loose stubborn bolts. Any issues with the Tekton's breaking loose bolts?

Look really nice but I really think an offset is very helpful. I know there's pros n cons, including a thicker head but better reach on recessed fasteners. Think it's worth the thickness, but I also could just throw a Nano socket in the 17mm etc...

Jeff, how do you rate these with the icon (rebranded mountain)? Do you have an opinion of millwaukee wrenches?

I have the mountain ones and platinum and they are about half the price i feel like they are made in the same factory.

I really like all the tools I've bought from Tekton but I'm dissapointed they left behind 6 pt. box for 12. Everyone and their uncle already makes a version of various 12 pt configurations. I have several of their 6 pt reversible combination wrenches which are well radiused and a very nice product. Even w cruising ebay all the time I can't find several of the sizes to complete my set since they discontinued them.

Thanks for your time, money & effort that you put in these videos. That being said, you should consider that it benefits you ZERO to (MULTIPLE TIMES) actually refer to your video correctly as an "unboxing" and THEN, in the next breath, gripe about how your viewers don't like it when you classify a video incorrectly (as a review). It just sounds like "sour grapes" as they say (and you should just say unboxing and leave it at that). That being said, you do what you want. Also, (unless I am mistaken) just as an FYI, you said ZERO about the other glaring main difference with this set and that is THE ADDITIONAL WRENCH (as compared to most other competitors of this style). I ALSO kept hoping you would pick up the one that is NOT in all the other sets (which I THINK is the ???6 & 7MM???) and bring that up close to the camera (also since it is the smallest of the set). Not being mean (I'm trying to be helpful) I also think that your videos (as a whole) would be MUCH more organized / better if you maybe had sort of a big cue card (off camera) that you could refer to with just some bullet points (that you think through AHEAD OF TIME) that you want to cover as you do seem to repeat many sayings within each video & in all of your videos. I hope you take all of the above for what it is meant to be... an effort to try help your channel be better AKA "constructive criticism". Thanks again & I wish you only the best!
