NEW Renault Clio N5 Rally Car - 1.6L Turbo Engine + Subaru AWD System + Sequential Gearbox!

3 жыл бұрынAll the N5 rally cars share the same mechanic: Peugeot 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine, Subaru all-wheel drive system, Samsonas 6-speed sequential gearbox, MoTec M142 ECU and rally-spec suspension.
You can choose your favourite model from a wide range of cars, such as Renault Clio, Peugeot 208, Toyota Yaris, VW Polo and many more.
They are a little bit slower than the R5 rally cars, but less expensive: that's the goal for maximum enjoyment!

It's very weird to know that they used the factory 1.6L engine *that's only designed to be mounted sideways* ,and now they're running it lengthways with the engine's forward-motor mount on the core support and have to use custom radiator hoses running from the intake-side to the radiator!

No Subaru AWD system, just normal Sadev 5 speed AWD transaxle. Beefed up suspension and many standard OEM components.

I found these info on the official website: Subaru all-wheel drive system, Samsonas 6-speed sequential gearbox, Peugeot 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine, Motec M142 ECU and rally-spec suspension.

@@MattyB727 yeah I think they made a mistake. The Subaru AWD system designed around the boxer Engine. The Samsonas gearbox is a transaxle that has the transmission and the AWD differentials as a single unit...just like the normal AWD system found in tranverse Engined cars.

@@Tedkelvin they call it "subaru" because the engine sits in front of the front axle. They probably even use subaru parts for the gbx and diff casings.
