@krumper9957 no windows11. To clarify a little more for anyone who has the same symptoms as mine. I first followed the steps in this video for a clean install and recovery. I tried restarting my pc multiple times with no luck. It finally boot the launcher but would crash after pressing play, signing me out, and was stuck in that loop. I then did the steps above, and it finally found the game. It did sort of break again, but I restarted my PC, and I haven't had a problem since.

I'm like this too I don't know what else to do all day it's like this I can't go from are you to robot?

Uninstall and reinstall the launcher 2. Restart and update PC 3. Manually add the launcher to my firewall 4. Manually end the task in my task manager

I had to log in on my laptop. My pc was giving me the same looping issue.

i am facing the same problem as well. It doesnt seem that there is a valid solution to it.

it seems like theres an issue reaching the cloudflare servers, seems unrelated to jagex unfortunately. if it fails the verification it can also ip ban you for around an hour from trying to do the captcha thing(unlikely this is happening but possible). some people are claiming that logging into the website or potentially updating you browser could also fix it. Its also worth mentioning there was a cloudflare maintenance today.

@@brandonsmith2299 This sounds like an issue I had. I had to uninstall everything and make sure to download all runescape launchers (jagex, runelite) for it to launch.

@GurberBabyOwen online I found that a possible solution would be to flush your DNS . Support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207344375-Common-connection-solutions Let me know if any of the outlined solutions work when following the link above

I had a similar issue where even using alt + tab wouldn't work. Try to open the file explorer, go to the task manager, and click on the file explorer, then click restart. See if that helps.

Are you running multiple drives by any chance? It could be possible that you downloaded it into a different drive (let's say D) and is not being read by the drive that has windows and is typically your default (C).

@Earningsapps122 From what I recall, you log into each account individually and add them to your overall Jagex launcher account. You'll then be able to use one main username and password to access them all and will probably have to relog after some time. All of these accounts are real Runescape accounts and will not be deleted. I have accounts that are almost 20 years old that I can still log into.

@@kingjaries my aaccounts are not login individually. All of them open directly through the jagex luncher. If I open it through runelite then I get an error message saying your password is incorrect. please help me to fix problem .

@@Earningsapps122 Do you have Runelite downloaded and able to be launched through the Jagex Launcher? Additionally, are your accounts saved to be launched by simply clicking play? Regarding an incorrect password, I typically try to reset my password through the Jagex website and continue to log in with the new password. Let me know if any of this helps.

By security check you aren't talking about the authenticator right? It's a security check where you typically mark the small box to prove you're not a bot or something like that?

@@kingjaries correct, but the security check isn’t showing up so there’s nothing to click proving I’m not a robot

Here are some things to try if the security check isn't appearing in the Jagex Launcher: Ensure the Jagex Launcher and the game client are running with consistent permissions. Update programs, drivers, and the operating system. Clear cache files.@@333beastin

I've done all of those, for more context, this also happens when i try to log into my account on the actual website as well@@kingjaries

@@kingjaries like, i just installed the launcher then i downloaded the osrs ,i also downloaded the mobile version too, but idk why when i clicked the account management and enter the site, when i see the site it was written than i get denied by the site owner

@cosmoparzival1058 it sounds like it may be a browser issue according to what I've found. Players mention that by switching to a different browser and in some cases changing the default, they have been able to play and create new accounts.

Unfortunately, I believe Jagex mandated the use of its launcher about two months or more ago.

Unfortunately you have to download the launcher to play.

Can you tell me what the error code is if any? It'll help to determine what the issue is

@@kingjaries it literally doesn't show any code and it actually says "unknown error code" then it will let you press quit launcher

@kazue9272 Hi there If you're seeing this error while installing OSRS as opposed to launching it, I suspect it's the Microsoft DirectX installer returning that error and failing the installation. You can try installing DirectX manually by searching online for "directx end user runtime" and downloading it from the official Microsoft website. If it successfully runs and installs the DirectX files, try to install OSRS again. If it fails, there's not a lot you can do as these files are requirements for the game to run. I'm not sure if you have a VPN, but if you do, perhaps you can try turning it off to see if it allows you to install it. Other issues can require: 1. Updating your drivers/graphic cards or computer. 2. Ensuring any firewall is not blocking the installation. 3. Restarting your internet or computer. 4. Ensuring your computer has the minimum requirements to run the game. 5. Another issue can also include the installer choosing the wrong location to save or not having enough memory. 6. The RuneScape installation files may have also moved from their original location at some point from, so Windows can't start the uninstall process as it can't find the uninstaller. My suggestion would be to manually look for the "unins000.exe" file for RuneScape on your PC somewhere and run it manually. It should be located with, or near, where RuneScape.exe is on your PC. These are all possible solutions that I found, I hope they help you. If so, please let me know which one helped.

@@kingjaries Thankyou, I tried downloading directX from microsoft and it also has error when installing... although if I type dxdiag on my search bar there is one... but when I install the direct x from microsoft internal error occurs

@aldovillarreal5589 Did you create a jagex account? I believe if you use your email to create a jagex account, once you download the launcher, you can log in separately with each account's username and password.

@@kingjaries it was working 2 days ago, I went to log on and it told me I needed to use the jagex launcher, so I went to log in to it and it sent me a email saying my account don’t exist. It then let me log in with the same email, but it put me in a new account, my original username is Ssgssb, but they changed it to Ssgssb2

Do you have multiple drives? The launcher may be launching from the wrong drive so you may have to go into the correct drive and open it from there instead of a shortcut. Otherwise, I'd make sure to download ALL available launchers (osrs, runelite, jagex, etc.) To the same drive and try it that way. Let me know if this helps or you find a different solution.

Once you create your RuneScape account and add it to the launcher you can no longer use the native runelite app to access that account only via the launcher it’s a shame really.

If none of the methods I showed worked, make sure the launcher is booting from the right drive (only applies if you have extra). I also found this is the Jegex website but maybe it applies to your situation: "If the installer won't run, and isn't giving you an error then you may have Auto Proxy Discovery enabled. To resolve this issue you can disable this: Choose Apple menu Then System Settings Next click Network in the sidebar, Select a network service on the right, Click Details Finally click Proxies From here you should be able to disable Auto Proxy Discovery"

@@kingjaries yes ive always used my username and its still say incorrect.. but its not giving me a option to switch to username all it says is log in with email

Let me know if it helps: Unless you upgrade to a jagex account, your login username will never change, even if you change your in-game display name or registered email. Accounts created prior to November 2010 will have a login name, those created afterwards will have a login email. You can have the same registered email for several accounts. Also if you use an authenticator, make sure it is connected to your wifi so the codes it provides are "live" and legit codes.

@kingjaries no I used it alot before but I never played in 3 months and now I log in and my account is not there. 100+ days played on it

@nickreid9661 hey there sorry, I thought I responded. Due to Jagex basically forcing all accounts to use its launcher you may have to add the account again and basically register and transfer it over. Habe you attempted that or found a fix?

@kingjaries no problem. The thing is I had the character on my jagex account . After a week or so of emailing jagex back and forth I got my account back . Still not sure what happend
