We went full Ryobi three years ago, for absolutely everything and we haven't had a single problem with any of it. Even after my missus lowered her car on the jack on top of the Ryobi torch, still worked fine.

honestly, i went and got a gas-powered ryobi string trimmer after I found out about the expand it series being that I just got a house with a yard that the last owner left a lot to be desired and their yard tool attachment options have been a lifesaver for me and I have their table saw and plan on adding one of their tool kits to my arsenal soon cause they seem to be a great brand and love to see they are getting more exposure!

That is a pretty cool tool. Now as a Ryobi owner I do see something I would like. I recognize that looks like the same extension thats on my weed whacker and pole saw from them. It would be kinda nice if they would take a multitool type approach to the lawn stuff like that. Like let me buy one handle to rule them all, then flip out weed whacker, saw, and that cool angle grinder on a stick in this video. I do like ryobis normal tools for the most part, but its the tons of yard tools that run on my shop batteries that keep me team green, well and im cheap so thats another very large factor.

That's just removing the grout between the pavers and making a perfect place for weeds to grow. If pavers have weeds or moss use wet n forget or bleach water to clean the moss and kill the weeds. Sealing the pavers after polymer grouting is the only way to keep weeds out. Sealing will need to kept up to be effective.

That breaks down over time and needs to be replaced, though. Having an abundance of weeds is an indicator of such. Should not pressure wash patios with flagstone, especially. Should be softwashed because you undermine the base with high pressure. Mortared patios? Sure.

Since I was a kid I swore I'd never get another Ryobi tool. Now I have their 18v hot snot glue gun, 18 ga brad nailer and their staple gun (standard T40 style staples) --and they are all amazing for around the house/small projects. Would I take them on the job, no, but for small stuff they are handy as hell and inexpensive! Just get the right adapter for your brand of 18v tools and use your own batteries... I prolly won't get this one as I don't have a lot of brick or concrete patio but it's another nice niche tool. Thanks for the vid!
@Entropy512
@Entropy512 Жыл бұрын
FYI be careful - apparently some of the manufacturers put some of the pack protection circuitry (specifically overdischarge protection) in the tool and not the pack itself. (I think DeWalt may do this?). You don't want to adapt those packs to a tool which assumes the pack is doing the job. I've got an adapter for Ridgid batteries to Ryobi tools and Ridgid packs definitely have all protection circuits pack-side.
@mixpick138
@mixpick138 Жыл бұрын
@@Entropy512 Yep, you make a great point. I'm pretty sure my batteries have protection circuits on board (heat, excessive discharge, etc) but I still make sure I don't over run tools I'm using an adapter on all the same. I wouldn't use an adapter on something like a cordless grinders (they tend to suck batteries dry real quick). Anyway, great point as "real" batteries are $$$!

I love my Ryobi tools. This patio cleaner looks great, but minimal use for me. Maybe if a had more brick areas, but mostly gravel. I really wish Ryobi would build a larger sweeper. As I get older, fast approaching 60, sweeping the curb and back patio is becoming more of a chore. Something small, but hefty, maybe load bearing back wheels for tilt. Think the 16” electric mower (I should have gone 40v). I just want to be able to move material in a similar fashion I do with a wide push broom, along my curb, patio, driveway, and sidewalk…but without the weight or energy to go back and forth.

ive been looking for a good way to eliminate or reduce using round up on my pavers. I like it but Im concerned the weeds will come back fast since you are not getting the root. Looks like its worth a shot. Just Fyi they make battery adaptors I have been using my dewalt batteries on a ryobi sprayer and a Makita drywall saw since I couldnt get those tools in yellow and black. I hate the thought of having multiple battery platforms so the adaptors work great for the few odd ball tools.

roundup is a waste of $ for that purpose. Just get gallon + quantities of white vinegar and apply to pavers. I found out by accident that it kills plants pretty quickly. It's a lot cheaper and it's not a product made by an unethical company. This guy's edger/cleaner demo doesn't really impress. You'll spend how much $ on this tool and you'll still have to spend a lot of time applying it, not really saving you time. If one has a bad back, I can see the value, but otherwise, just pour vinegar on areas that need it and come back a few days later to rub it up & out with a stiff bristle broom (like the roof brush brooms).

Here’s a question for you, where can I find a straight 4incn brush to fit my Ryobi 4:5 inch angle grinder, not the cupped kind, just a brush like would come on a bench grinder? 5/8 arbor not the twisted wire, just a straight brush. HD doesn’t have them, or Lowe’s,or Ace, or Amazon!!!!!!!

This looks neat. I saw your other video on the patio cleaner and I was wondering something. Could you use this to clean a patio or other concrete surface with a degreasing cleaner?

The only problem is Robert is that there is only one small wire brush in this. It would take forever just to do a small area brother

That sounds like something I would buy for my mom, so she can take care of her driveway and sidewalk. I think it’s hilarious how you said even if you have one battery and one charger. I think that’s funny, because I only have one battery and one charger, but I have three tools. I have the Ryobi router, 7 1/4 chopsaw, and 18 gauge Brad nailer all 18 V. I think that is a good start for me and a good start for my business.

@@ToolReviewZone since you like doing it so much, all you need to do is get a cave and go on a driveway/sidewalk cleaning crusade, LOL.

I didn’t prove read my comment, and my dication put in the wrong word. It was suppose to say cape and not cave, lol. All though, a cable would not hurt. And, don’t worry, my wife says the same thing about me, but I tell her squirrels belong in the trees.

This is nice. I’ve seen others on KZfaq put a wire brush on an edger, but those edger compatible brushes are very expensive.

Is that two separate tools at the end of the video, or is the patio sweeper/brush an attachment? Thanks in advance

There were concerns on the reviews about the brush wearing down and there is no replacement of the brushes when they do.

I thought if you dig all the expansion joints out you are allowing water to get under your driveway or sidewalk to cause erosion.
