Construction is always a mess for a period of time, people have no life and nothing better to do but complain. There is always someone who is perched and watching but never offers a hand. I wish people would just stop by and ask what is being done so they know it is temporary. I applaud anyone who is upgrading their property. It helps everyone on the street with property values. I would also think that the county would be able to see you have permits to do all of this and not have come bothered y’all or threatened to fine you. If someone complained to the county you should be able to go to the county and see who filed that complaint. We did and the individual who did the complaint was not close to us. In my state they have to tell you. A lot of people do not realize the person can find out. You should check into it. And if you’re able to shock your neighbor.

Karrie I am sorry you have a Karen in your neighborhood, they are everywhere. We have one too. We have a building like you are getting. Ours is a 21/2 car garage building. When we were getting it put in we had a Karen that complained about the noise of the trucks for concrete guys it was a pain in my butt. We do have a sheriff that lives on one side of us and a police officer that lives across the street from us so they took care of her fast. I didn't have to deal with her because of my great neighbors coming to my rescue, my husband was at the golf course every time she called and complained. We love our neighbors other than her. We love our building. This is at our home in the Pittsburgh area in Pennsylvania. We also have a home in Florida that we built and moved in this past September. We are snowbirds lol. You and Dylan will make this beautiful I am sure. I am so happy for you! I am so excited I can't wait to see what you do inside. Keep smiling! Sometimes people are just nasty and jealous! ♥️🙏🌴

If you live in Florida, the county/city trims back limbs, in preparation for hurricane season. Have you checked around your neighborhood to see if other trees were trimmed? Trash collectors or other county workers, notify the government if they see something that needs addressing. I wouldn’t assume a neighbor reported me, before I called code enforcement.

I'm in Pasco County, Florida and in the city limits. I have a corner lot, the easement on both streets sides is 20 feet & 10 foot easement along the alley way. A few years ago the trash collector guys came on my property, along the alley and trimmed back several trees. I keep the trees/bushes full along the alley as a natural privacy screen. They cut holes in the growth so you can see through it. I was so upset with every right to be. I wrote a letter to the city manager/mayor to get resolution. I did go through the chain of command first with no results, other than, opps, sorry, it will grow back. I submitted photos of the before and after to prove my point. The city brought me 3 evergreen bush/trees to fill in the areas. It was a nightmare trying to deal with this, so I get what you went through.

Police knocking at my door at 8am on a Sunday morning! Just found out she called the police on the neighbor on the other side for something just as petty! Can’t fix people like that. Waste of police time. Rant over. 😂

If you call the city and let them know that you’re in the middle of construction and that you will have things out in front for pick up they will actually pick it up for you and if anyone complains, you will not get the red ticket
