That’s a stupid idea. Parking is already a problem at Soldier Field, and your going to take away the stadiums biggest parking lot? Now this would actually not bug me at all if the stadium had good access to transit but it doesn’t, not unless you’re one of the few people who can use the Metra Electric District or South Shore Line.

The plans for City of Chicago Stadium there still will not be an awesome fan experience dealing with terrible parking, no tail gating close to stadium, City of Chicago is broke and still paying for the last renovation of old soldier field, stadium will still be too small in the NFL to host a Super bowl or big events like the final 4. The Chicago Bears will not own it or any kind of return in their contribution to building the stadium. This tear down and renovation of Soldier field just does not have any practical sense what so ever. Chicago Bears needs to stop being owned by the City of Chicago and make better financial decisions for the Chicago Bears they need to leave the City of Chicago and grow their franchise owning and managing their own stadium and having it perfect on game day for visitors and fans. George Halas looked in Arlington heights before he passed away and wanted to build his own stadium in Arlington Heights and why the family won't honor his vision? It would be cheaper to build a new stadium in Arlington Heights and less infrastructure work is needed outside the Stadium roads, updating the Metra stop right there that is steps away in Arlington Heights. In the City of Chicago they will have do so much infrastructure work to accommodate to this museum campus, underground parking, new train stops etc. There still would not be enough parking for fans, no tailgating and still be back with the same issues as they have now where fans have to park miles away from the stadium and pay horrible parking, Metra and CTA fees and the transportation system in the City of Chicago is outdated. The McCaskey family and investors looking into the Lakefront idea are fools a waste of money and they will always estimate too low and it will be way over budget by the time they finish building a new stadium in the City of Chicago. Arlington Heights would be best interest, great investment for their franchise if the McCaskey family ever want to sell all of their shares of Chicago Bears franchise or sell of some shares it looks profitable with joined venture with new owners or new investors. I see City of Chicago Lake front a money pit and they will be back to the same old issues in 20 years. If it was built in Arlington Heights they would be able to update the stadium easily, add on if they keep enough of the property for Stadium expansion after 20-30 years. Chicago Bears owners and investors make all the worst business decision for this franchise why they are never able to grow which they should be able to owning 100% of their own stadium and the land it is on and be able to pay talent. They will still have enough money to operate their franchise and get richer for the owners and investors of this Chicago Bears franchise in a large sports market. Nobody seems to have and practical business sense anymore all about the feelings to keep the Chicago Bears stadium in the City of Chicago when it will cost too much money and still not give fans the great experience attending a game and have less headaches getting to and from stadium for visitors and fans. A new stadium is not going to be bring visitors to the City of Chicago the way it is poorly run down with Crime no money to fix it's City, businesses leaving the City of Chicago, no Chicago Police cannot do their job to serve and protect in the City of Chicago. No visitors want to come to a crime City and walk the streets of the City of Chicago. City of Chicago feel they need the Chicago Bears but really Chicago Bears don't need them. They need to work things out with the City of Arlington Heights.

Knockdown old McCormack place , soldier field and there's your new stadium location. Pay off the park district and BOOM!!! Otherwise close the tax deal on Arlington.
