I love your positive attitude. It's easy to be negative and grumpy with today's dairy economy. It helps to have a large enough labor force that everyone gets time off. I'm sure older, but well maintained facilities help the bottom line.

3 Things that impress me about your dairy. 1) Cleanliness of the cows and facilities. Cows are well fed, healthy & clean ,truly almost spotless. ! Facilities always clean, makes working so much more enjoyable . 2) Simplicity of cattle feeding. No expensive TMR & tractor running all the time. Just high quality haylage & corn silage delivered to the bunk by conveyor. Simplicity at it's finest ! 3) Family..perhaps the most important cog in the wheel. Without them , you have nothing. Congratulations on a job well done. Dairying is a hard life and yet rewarding at the same time.The generations behind you have laid a firm foundation.Keep building on them.

Do you just use an estimated time that you let the unloaders run so you get about the same amount every time you feed ? Does the "plow " change sides when it reaches the end of the bunk and then return ?? That's a lot of scraping but I spose you don't want it to get a chance to freeze in the winter !! Lots of questions but love your channel !!
@KipSieglerFarming14 жыл бұрын
Yes pretty much estimated and you move the plow manually. It is a lot put lots of hours on machines, don’t want it to freeze to solid and cows standing in it 👍
