This is a fantastic review you did for the Sony ZV1F camera Justine I love the product showcase feature and I love how you explained that having an ND filter on the camera is like when you wear sunglasses outside on a sunny day so even in bright outdoor settings you can still get crisp and clear footage

Recently bought the ZV1 and the lack of a touch screen and wide angle is a bit rubbish considering a £60 smartphone has one. Controls are super fidly too. I should have gone for the ZV-10 . Super fab video as always IJ

20mm focal length was something the zv1 was missing, however I'm not certain if I would want to give up the zoom the zv1 has for fixed focal length. Both cameras seem to be exactly the same with the exception of the lens and the price. Definitely a great beginner vlogging camera and worth the price if that is what you need, but probably not as good for doing much more than that. I would say that the ZV-E10 is a much better overall camera since you can get the lens you need and the camera can grow with you.

@manda panda I understand, the a7iv is amazing! My thinking is, I film/vlog in the theme parks a lot with my family and the weight of the a7iv gets to me so I end up using my phone a lot and this would hopefully be better than the iPhone. I do wish this new one had better stabilization, seems like it would need Catalyst Browse to look best.

I think the ZV-1 is still better. I have one and wouldn't buy the 1F. I use the Ulanzi WL-1 wide angle lens to make my ZV-1 wider.

*other then the Full Touch, and the Record light I'm not sure if I'd trade in my ZV-1. Not to mention the Price, I'm offended at the Price. I paid $749 THIS is $498. They could have made the ZV-1 around the same price but IDK. I'm still going to get the FX30 and I'll still keep my zv-1 but that touch screen can be useful*

Neutral Density . Allows you to have more options with the f stops because the lens iris is not almost closed due to extreme brightness.

Yes, it says steady shot. Image Stabilization, #7 under the little video camera icon after you push the menu button. Not sure if it works on all settings though.

It overheats in 50 mins and shuts down. Bat life on full charge vid record is about 1h 10 mins, provided you use a desk fan to cool it down.

I think the new menu system is part of a different operating system. It's running android now whereas before it was sony custom. So no, it won't get the update.

The thing that i hate about original zv1 was stabilization, you had to enable product showcase and you literally loose wide angle, does this camera have the same problem? We need wide angle with already included stabilizer without cropping even more...

One of the most frustrating and inexplicable things is the fact that almost every product reviewer on KZfaq does videos of themselves walking around with the camera, and most never take footage of themselves as a talking head with the product. This is why I am shopping for a new camera, I have been using my phone to do my content and I find that my phone Auto focuses and auto exposes, and I'm looking for something that records with more stability. Even though I have my phone on a tripod when I move around it negatively impacts my shot. I've spent hours watching People's reviews to see how various phones and cameras work in this setting and no one does it. We need more tripod reviews😅

@@kirillch I like the focal length of the ZV1F from the videos. I feel like the ZV1 is a little too closely cropped. But you are correct. I found my ZV1 from ebay for $450. So it was a good deal non the less.

@@StormSmith The Neewer wide/macro lens on Amazon works really well to fix the close cropped issue with the ZV-1 but it also makes it not that compact unless you want to keep removing the extension ring. You got a great deal tho!
