Trailmakers 1.7 Spacebound EARLY ACCESS is here! Quantum rudder controls have the same effect as a rudder on a ship would, they turn you creation more accurately while just using steering hinges can cause your creation to not change momentum and trajectory

Quantum rudders are like actual rudders. If you try turning a boat when it’s not moving it’s not going to do anything.

A way to describe what they did with the edges of the map is when ur playing Pac-Man and you go through the tunnels on the edge and come out the other side

Im thinking about you making a Juggernaut of a steel/armoured ship. Double shields, 2 of the huge space engines, no EMP and lots of big guns.

You need speed for the quantum rudders, just like plane rudders. It sorta shows it in the console video thing in the hangar

The quantum rudders slow you down and provide drag and act like pitch fins when u are moving

Quatnium rudders operate like flaps or tail. if you mount them horozontal they will act as your pitch control. vertical they will act as vertical stablaizers. IF they are horozonal and "flipped" ailerons. The strength, increases your turn rate but lowers your speed. decreased increases your speed but also your "drift" if you want a fast fighter that drifts have 1 rudder at lowest setting. if you want a slower fighter that can turn on a dime... mount 2 and turn them to max.

Quantum rudders are the only things that have drag in space. They are the things that actually limit your maximum speed. Also, they have less drag in one direction, which allows you to turn, but only when moving. That control thing that they have is to move, like the control surfaces in the air.

@ Kosmonaut. At a guess, quantum rudder works like real rudders, can only direct force but not make force. So you'll need to be in motion for it to work

I think the reason that the normal rockets work in space is because it makes explosions pushing it forward that’s why electric rockets wouldn’t work irl because there is nothing to push it forward

OMG they're SO smart bro... achieving these blocks funcionalities are not exactly hard but because of the base game someone on there need a raise. Because what I believe has happened was they are "saving" axis on build mode to be able to maintain them independent of the camera/player orientation, and it realy sounds obvious saying it like this but until you think of it it's literally hidden in your creation and there's 0 external help to find those ideas, to imagine adding space block was even a possibility means genius instantly.

Interesting looking game. So does this have a survival feature you can do in multiplayer? Such as , you have to go out and mine up resources, earn money, etc? Looking for a fun multiplayer building space game and this might be a good one.

The more quantum rudders you have on your ship the slower it will go as they induce drag.

Do you only have 1 shield? Shields are semi-circles. you need 2 to form a sphere. now there is an "offset" feature that lets you move the semi-circles closer or further appart so you don't have to worry as much about shield placement.

I feel like dragon jets would work in space, I think the rotating bit on the front is not for cooling the jet but rather churning gas inside of it to create energy. It's already cold enough in space. Edit: The spinning could most definitely be for cooling. I forgot that the cold space part would already explain it. Edit 2: The conspiracy theory continues. Raw thrusters. They will still heat up. But it's cold in space. This can be explained by the interior and main part of the jet that is covered from the cold by the outer layer. Edit 3: WAIT. BUT THE RED OUTER SHELL GETS RED HOT. NONONONO. EDIT 4! THE JETS ARE FAKE!!! THE THRUSTERS ARE FAKE!!! IT ALL TASTES LIKE CHICKEN!!! IT'S ALL IN EVERYONE'S HEADS!!!

Nassau infested by pirates, do you not get it? It's a port, look it up :D Wiat, you're an engineer and you've never heard of a parabolic antenna? What? Lol. Short version, they make for very directional waveform patterns in a specific axis.
