i’ve had one for about 6 months i’m about to do the FCR carb mod. and the only issue i’ve had is the carb and the bike at some point started running rich and fouling plugs. That was fixed with a hole cut in the opposite side of the air box. Even really cold it starts right up and runs great. It was ridden with the choke on until it got so hot it started sputtering and smoking, after an hour of letting it cool down it started right back up and has been running great months later. the valve adjustment is also super easy with locknut adjusters no need to take the cam off or shims

Silly question, would a TRX400ex carb work? It's a pumper carb, cheap at about $40 (instead of $130 FCR clone) on ebay and it should flow okay at 36mm....

I got an offshoot, the EGL A17 and the TRX400 carb is too long (about 1"-1.5" LONGER). My bike is running great, it cannot be snapped like a two-stroke but a very quick roll-on is okay (no different than my last 2013 YZ250f). I ended-up with a 38P/145M jetting at about 200'.

The video quality is amazing but unfortunately it never gets how steep the hills actually are or how fast you're really going . In person it looks and feels way different .

The camera does the first trail no justice I took my 3 wheeler and it was some pretty steep hills
@sethm.6833 жыл бұрын
You’re exactly right! On video it’s hard for it to capture what the terrain is really like.

yall should get like a 250 2 stroke for enduro, for top end power, but still i have a yz250f for just riding in woods and stuff and my ktm sx250 i use for track
@sethm.6833 жыл бұрын
May consider 2-stroke at some point. The bikes you listed are solid!
@urmom-vh2qx3 жыл бұрын
@@sethm.683 yeah the powerband on 2 stroke in my opinion is better for trails, nice vid tho

So what are your thoughts on the ssr300 is it worth a look
@sethm.6833 жыл бұрын
My buddy who owns the bike recommends it. With rejetting of carb, makes for a solid bike so far.

Holy crap man, how do you ride with your left thumb above the grip like that🤯
@Bluine3 жыл бұрын
oh never mind, it was only when you were cruising haha
@sethm.6833 жыл бұрын
@@Bluine Ha! Yeah, there’s no way I could ride like that. I believe I do it briefly at times to stretch the thumbs!
