Have a new "R" model, milled and ported. Absolute torque monster. AV is awesome. Was alittle nervous being this would be my first mtronic saw. But zero problems?? Maxflow filter. Saw starts fast, easy, and every time. Very happy with this saw.

The only thing made me nervous was, they said open it wide open off load to tune it, in my books on a new saw that is the opposite of good sense. By now the electronics are pretty damn good, in the beginning they were being tested by the public more or less, I think the amount of people that have used them in production cutting, they must be great.

Angled back cut like this is the final cut to release the back strap on a dog tooth cut when felling a leaning tree. Helps prevent barbers chair

"No carb adjust POSSIBLE" hahaha. Thats what i read. Yeah. No thanks. Ill just keep buying older re-man Stihls. Sorry. I like working on my own saws. If i cant fix it with a screwdriver and a chainsaw wrench in the bush.... its just a paperweight to me.

Joe Parkes yea i agree. I was told to upgrade my 201 to the newest 201 tcm and im glad i didnt. They have had tons of problems with the M tronics..

Stihl, Innovation so far ahead you'll never ever be able to afford it. Or are the prices so high simply because the Germans spend more time on holiday than they do actually working? If that's the case look for Stihl to move some production to China soon.

eh as a 20 year landscaper I'll keep my Echo , Had 2 Stihl Farm Boss saws they never held up and the guys at the dealers were always dicks . Stihl cares about there bottom line, not me

good question , they were hard to start , one had a bad coil ..if you did get it running it was good , stihl is finicky . ECHO starts first pull
