In the UK a good number of ambulances use a ramp as well

The sirens are in the grill bud because they are directional, that’s why when they’re side on there quieter than when they are coming towards you. Fire engines and police aren’t.

The steady burn is for when they activate speed cameras let's the person viewing the pictures that it was on a blue light run as the camera's don't always pick uk the flashing blue's

Yes very common. Due to strain on the NHS, private services are contracted to respond to 999 calls. You also have private agencies handling hospital transfers and specialist medical fields such as neonatal & pediatric transport. This was not the case a few years ago where each region (previously county) had ambulance services that were the only ones to handle 999 calls. Some areas still do it this way, but London isn't one of them! Yes you have a huge range of police cars & vehicles. It gets very tight and bendy on UK roads, especially around London. Motorcycles are also common place. Ss

@@BlueLightProd Do you think they will stay once COVID is history and demand returns to normal? It does seem a good idea. We were at a stage where they were going to get military medics to drive ambulances allowing the crewing to be one paramedic per ambulance, instead of the standard two. It never eventuated though.

Private and voluntary ambulances provided support before COVID and will continue afterwards

Little cars? Police over here in nsw. Use a Mitsubishi Pajero, like they used a shogun in London, they use small vans they use a transit in London … or bmw .. only HP used stupid 6 litre engines, now they use bmw like uk.

@@Westcountrynordic I've never been diagnosed but believe I have some traits consistent with autism. Not that it's a bad thing-I went through paramedic training with a guy who had Asperger's and he had a successful career.

@@BlueLightProd In Australia we have variety in different types of plates issued, but not variety in where they're from. On the rare occasion you'll see a European camper van or motorcycle on our roads but that's a once a year sighting. In my street right now is a car from Broome, Western Australia, which is about 6,000km away, In South Australia ambulances have their own number plates. They start with AMB and the format is like AMB-123, on fleet number 123. I was collecting plates for 40 years before buying a motorhome. Ended up with about 3,000 from well over 100 countries and territories.
