I actually love this hairstyle! The mixture of box braids and rope twists is really what makes this style so different and unique. I also like the name Hybrid Knotless. You should keep it

So I did box braids in my 12 yr old head in December. She likes her hair super full without her parts showing. I told her as a 12 yr old you don't need that much hair. Took her to school and saw that she crochet some rope twist hair in between her box braids. I told her it looked silly. I guess bc i never saw it done before. Now I saw you do it, i feel bad telling her. 😩 This actually looks pretty.

Thanks so much! She was ahead of the curve lol! did you give her knotless or the old school box braids? a couple things to help you get full coverage on her with knotless is adding the hair in closer to the root, making sure your parts are brick laid and maybe doing a smaller size, I feel like those tend to appear more full.

@@Dopeaxxxpana .... I want to say old school maybe. 🤔 So I'm not the best braider so I braid her hair an inch then add the hair if that makes sense. At the top I'll do the crochet method bc I don't know how to add pieces like you do. I did learn later that the brick method does make it look fuller tho. I will start doing that for now on. Practice makes perfect. Thanks for the tip. 🫶🏾

I remember when the inventor came up with these braids and she asked us on all her social media accounts what should we name them. And what you are calling them is wrong. This style is called Cable Knit Braids because that’s what they are similar to.

Pana I love that look. I am a much older woman a grandma and a great grandma and I am mixed with Puerto Rican and my my mother is from the Virgin Islands I am a half breed like my mom used to call me😂 but I love wearing twists and I love wearing braids, both knotless. I have tesl thick hair that is almost bra back length and I am definitely going to try them. I do my own hair because I am very very tender headed. Thank you for sharing. God bless you Mija.
