You should just replace blue and yellow Toad with Wario and Waluigi and that would be a true Mario Brothers game.

Fun fact: Wario and Waluigi were originally going to be playable characters in New Super Mario Bros. Wii but they got cut and replaced by Yellow Toad and Blue Toad.

If I recall correctly, Wario being playable _was_ going to be the original reward for collecting 1,000,000 coins in New Super Mario Bros. 2, including all of his signature moves like the shoulder bash, but was cut since that would tend the development time and stuff.

I was thinking of the underground music, watching, and my brain changed the music.. bob omb bob om bom omb, bob omb bob omb bom omb, bob bob omb omb bob omb omb bob omb omb bob bob... I wonder what would happen if Waluigi took a lanky mushroom. I'm also still thinking about how close you were to beating the turbo tunnel in Battletoads. My friend was more of the Wario fan, though I enjoyed the games, I always liked Waluigi a bit more. They really never made an RPG for Mario that included them. Thanks for the fun video Darby.

This was so much fun. Ive always enjoyed Wario and Waluigi as characters, so its great to see people making cool hacks for them also to add their moves too. i loved the idea they created the gem search for Waluigi. awesome game play, watching and listening to you brings smiles to my face. thank you .

I remember wondering if there was a way to unlock these two when I found out about the Luigi code when I played this game for the first time. Crazy that someone made it real, and it looks great! I'd love to see more levels made with these two in mind in the future

I originally thought this was just going to be a reskin of NSMB, but the fact they added more content, collectibles and abilities is just so insanely cool. Like imagine a definitive version of NSMB mixing the original game with this, only having the gems if you play as Wario so only being able to unlock Waluigi playing like him

@@theneworoldgalyoutube1064 I don't think so. There is no leftovers in the game's files that as been discovered that hint at Waluigi being planned. And I'm pretty sure the waluigi model is the one from Mario party 3 on n64 or an edited version of it.

Id still like to see you play zork 1, & 2, as well as battlestar. Ive never gotten off the ship where (the maid?) died in pine sol before. Capturing the text would be a bit easier, id think. Then sillicons dreams also had some pictures. It origionally was for the apple 2c.

You know, there were rumors that Wario was supposed to be in NSMB2 as a reward for getting a million coins, but they scrapped it. Why? Wario is so fun to use, and the only mainline Mario game he ever appeared in was Super Mario 64 DS. You know, back when Nintendo utilized all of their characters instead of retiring most of the lost ones, like Nokis from Super Mario Sunshine, and Tatanga from Super Mario Land, who doesn't even have a Smash Ultimate spirit! Leave it to the fans to put classic Mario characters where they belong: in games!
