First DS game I ever played. Back then, I had no idea what saving your game meant so for a while, I was sent back to the beginning every time I got a game over.

The co-op player feature would've made the game much more exciting rather than playing singleplayer!.

Fun Fact: 2 Player Story Co-op was shown in the beta, but was cut from the final game.

I LOVED Super Mario Bros. DS, in fact it was the first ever game I ever played and the fact that it never had co-op was very unfortunate considering how me and my cousin as kids would dream the feature would come, but instead of complaining we simply played Mario VS Luigi and that alone was fun enough, still though, knowing that co-op was a thing around 2018 ish blows my mind because I never had much high hopes for it, the only reason I even lost hope in it was due to the 3Dses release of Super Mario Bros. 2, because obviously since the DSi is an old console it would’ve surely discontinued, but boy was I wrong and the homebrewing community never seems to impress me even more then it already does

Why do I get the feeling this is 2 separate people playing. One is Mario and one is Luigi. They are then just cropped into the same screen. You can tell this because the 2 people get the same coins / power ups
