She's edgy in the comics, the complete opposite of Clark. She's not in full control of her powers which is why Batman believes she could potentially be more powerful than Clark. Clark holds back, she doesn't. He's more connected to earth and humanity than she is.

Supergirl should have a bit of edge to her. That’s the only issue I had with Melissa Bennoist’s version, she had too much in common with Superman personality wise. She should be positive and have a lot of head to her but she should also be a take no shit character. Superman’s ask questions first, shoot later while Supergirl’s shoot first, ask questions later.

@@robertcoggeshall3071 They aren't the same character buddy. Superman was raised on earth since he was a baby. Kara was a teenager living on Kryton with her parents. She's not in control of her powers and emotions like Clark. She's technically older than Clark but because her pod got stuck in her travels, she remained a teenager and now Clark is an adult. She is not connected to humanity like Clark is, she doesn't hold back and she destroys property when she tries to help people. Super girl is still learning. Even Batman said she has the potential to be even more powerful than Clark due to her being out of control. Also Kryptonite doesn't affect her the same way like it does for Clark. Woman of Tomorrow story is nothing like Superman.

Although I liked the actress in House of Dragons season 1, I don't think she is a good fit for Supergirl. Such a petite girl to play the second strongest person on earth next to Superman in the DC universe. Her appearance does not seem strong enough. However James Gunn can prove me wrong! She is of course a good actress from her previous work. Maybe she looks older now though.

This is an interesting challenge for Gunn and for female heroes, because MCU also hasn't really nailed it. For example Gamora was supposed to be the fiercest woman in the Galaxy. But she never was. She had to be soft and cute so she could be Starlord's thirst trap. Gunn didn't really have time or room to tell her real story - about all the people she murdered in cold blood for Thanos. He did try to toughen her up - *a little* - for Guardians 3. Same with Captain Marvel. She needed to be a badass - not just OP. It's not the same thing. But they didn't know how to make her tough without triggering beta male resentment. Wonder Woman came close in her 1st movie. But Patty Jenkins is more a - make love not war, type so the Amazonian warrior is not a character she really understands. If James gets it right with SuperGirl the Incels will still hate it, natch. But if he blows it - then it will flop like the Marvels and Spider Ma'am and everyone else will hate it.

I hate super clones. If you have 2 characters with essentially the same backstory and especially powers only the first matters. The only ones from the comics I can think of being a good idea were a couple of green lanterns, thunderstrike- he became a unique hero rather than a Thor clone, and Miles Morales, who has come into his own. Supergirl never has really become her own character, just the female version of Superman.

@@summertyme5748 Gamora was always fierce? She just learned to open up more due to being around a group of people she feels comfortable with and Wonder Woman was always about love and compassion, the warrior thing was always a secondary thing to her. The second movie just sucked.

@@kicknowledgesmith8608 It isn't confirmed to be "as dark" as the Netflix show. After all, Daredevil blended beautifully within She-Hulk's world without losing his touch of identity. Similarly, other MCU characters could also blend well within Daredevil's world.

@@shubhangbahadur7112 yea because Daredevil was more of a jokster in that show with funny quips and it fit the tone. She Hulk doesn't fit Daredevil tone. It's all but confirmed to be dark. They heard the criticisms and re shot the entire show, bringing in Punisher, Karen and Foggy. I can see Jen showing up in a court room scene but not She Hulk. Daredevil can fit in anyone's show but not everyone can fit in his. Matt is dating Heather Glenn in Born again, Jen was a hit it and quit it situation lol

@@kicknowledgesmith8608 Charlie Cox has insisted on multiple occasions that what would set MCU's _Daredevil: Born Again_ apart from Netflix's _Daredevil_ is the show's ability to feature multiple MCU proper/movie characters that were inaccessible to them during the Netflix era and also it would tie into larger MCU grand story in a more pivotal way, unlike some vaguely subtle references to the movies during the Netflix era. Hence, having She-Hulk, Kate Bishop, Echo, Moon Knight etc in _Born Again_ is very much on the table!

don’t understand the obsession with putting Supergirl and Superman Legacy or anything else was done as a TV series. I don’t think very good. I know it’s woke but I think they should concentrate on doing Superman right they haven’t done yet except for the Christopher Reeves version. I am worried that James gun doesn’t know what he’s doing.

At least, he appears perfectly normal, until he transforms into Superman - flying around with his underpants over his tights, saving the day. When the evil Lex Luthor plans to take over the world, Superman is the only one who can stop him." No divisive nonsense. Just a good story.

Watch Superman Batman Apocalypse movie, she wears Goth clothing and gets manipulated by Darkseid, to fight Superman. Edgy Kara can go toe to toe with Clark, she doesn't hold back like he does. Even Batman calls her a edgy lose cannon and believes she can be stronger than Clark because of it.

Black Widow was released during Pandemic day-&-date on Disney and did fine at the box office. The film itself was a failure artistically because they took the edge away from the character and retconned her into Disney Princess Black Widow Barbie.

Sounds nothing like that at all. Feige announced she would be the most powerful Avenger, dividing the fan base and then Brie Larson spoke on politics, dividing fans even more, that's why many hate the character and the actress. plus Captain Marvel comics aren't good. Woman of Tomorrow is an excellent comic and this actress isn't out there talking politics and social issues.
