I love the low frequency sounder and the tone it generates. They are pretty rare. Where did you find yours?

You should install an intercom system and tie it to the fire alarm system and have a tone generator in the panel

Believe it or not, the newer Notifier NBG-12s use the same switch as the NBG-12LA!

Awesome! If you know soccerdude7330(charlie Davidson), he used to be a more popular fire alarm person, he also had the bg-12la and also said the same thing about the double throw ..... and he also had that same adt pull if I recall and in one of his videos he said "I bet you're anxious to see how this works". I found it funny that I instantly recognized that and you happened to say both those things. lol

I have a question, what is the difference between the BG-12, NBG-12L, NBG-12LA, etc.?

The BG-12 is fire lite's version of the BG-12 and is reset with a hex wrench. The NBG-12L is notifier's version of the BG-12 that is reset with a key lock. The BG-12LX is the addressable version of the BG-12 and also has a key lock. I believe the BG-12LA has the key lock and is weatherproof
