The storage of private keys and signing of transactions is done by your card. All you have to do is download the Tangem app on your new phone and scan the card.

@@tangem_official I read from tangem official website that if the tangem server is closed, my card is still available. But why does creating an offline wallet fail? I must connect to the tangem server.

Hi there! The backup process uses a Tangem server for mutual card attestation (the server stores certificates of all issued cards). For a secure backup, each card must be sure that the recipient card is a legitimate Tangem card, and it contacts the Tangem attestation server for this purpose. The card's chip doesn't contain any magnetic elements that can demagnetize. @@tangem_official very cool. There must be a way to damage the or it's like the Cybertruck and is "bullet proof" as well? If I bend it I can break the NFC antenna perhaps? What is the easiest way to break them card say I want to make sure the card is destroyed and unusable and I dont have access to a fire or scissors?

Hi there! If you created a wallet without a seed phrase, losing all the cards from the backup results in losing your funds. Only your cards have access to the wallet. The number of cards you have in the backup (2 or 3) is the number of copies of your private key in the world. Therefore, we recommend storing cards in different locations. If one card is lost/stolen, you can buy a new set of cards and transfer funds to it. If you created a wallet with a seed phrase, you can recover access to your funds by importing the seed phrase into another set of Tangem cards.
