Wow guys, there is so much hatred for me here when literally everything I knew at this point was what's on screen. It didn't say nearly half of the info of what we know now. Unfortunately they failed to release all the info in the patch notes and we had to wait until the website was updated till we knew how bullshit it really was. I was live on stream briefly after it went all public and spoke about it but as I'm away I haven't had time to film any video or even read comments until now. BSG have made a huge mistake here. I don't agree with what they've done and if I knew everything at the time of filming this video I would of said exactly that.

The Offline co op mode should be considered DLC and therefore anyone with EOD should get it for free IMO. It's really bad if they don't do this and no one should buy this new edition if they don't honour things they've said in the past.

I have read a lot of comments about this "non dlc," and my social media is filled with it. I haven't seen one positive comment out of a thousand. This proves yet again that the general playerbase of the game don't have a say in these matters and that the devs don't care (I am not saying that content creators are happy either). We love this game, for many it is a literal escape from a stressful day, having fun with friends on an innovative game that is the best in it's class. Please Pestily, you get listened to by the devs and so many players, let them all hear our voices, and fix what can't be described as anything other than theft and lies. This is nothing short of outrageous and a mockery of what was one of the most loyal playerbase of all times until as of 10 hours ago.

So with this version you can choose to do a run with just your group or like regular with other players and pvp and the items you find in the pve runs can be used in pvp or is it a seperate mode with seperate stache that you can not use in the other mode?

My rough draft solution: Make EOD features except for gold name available for purchase for everyone. Make Unheard features available for purchase by EOD players only. They still get their money, EOD players still feel special.

BSG straight up lying about EOD getting "Free access to all subsequent DLCs (Season pass)" and then moving it to this new edition is pure shithousery. Doesn't matter how long I've owned EOD (2017), I bought it based on the fact it was meant to get all new content. Whether it's 7yrs, or 20yrs, I expect to get what I paid for.

I think quite a few Gray Zone Warfare players will be born from this update. I don't have very many regrets in life, but supporting Nikita is definitely one of them!

EOD was marketed to include all future content. EOD should include Unheard content. BSG doesn't give a shit about the people who have been with them for 5+ years

OFFLINE CO-OP should be free for every version

I'm going to echo what others have already said: It's ridiculous that we paid $150 for a game under the pretense that all content will be included only for that to become a lie. I also think it's ridiculous that, with the new edition, players can have larger pockets. The extra two slots might not be a huge deal, or it might shake things up significantly. EoD was pay to win, sure, but at least all of the content it gave players was unlockable later in the game (the Gamma container being an exception, but at least Kappa was still better and available for standard accounts). It's also terrifying that players will be able to join a raid in progress to back you up with the new distress signal system. Imagine taking out half a squad only for 3 more guys to show up. That's going to facilitate infuriating gameplay. I understand that video games are becoming more expensive, but a $250 edition of a game is absolutely ludicrous. BSG has come out with a genre-defining game that still hasn't been matched by a competitor, and they have sold an immense amount of copies. As far as I know, they work with a small team relative to the game's success, and paired with lower labor costs in Russia, I can't imagine where their expenses are going. This really seems like a money grab. I had faith BSG was trying to gain some goodwill after last year's cheater debacle, what with the interviews with Pestily and what not, but this is absurd.

It's not even just the Unique items (which seem absolutely busted) it's all the rest of it compounded together that's just insane to me. The free junkbox/cases, the flea market rep and the extra pocket slots so you can carry mags. Everyone that has this addition will be loading up early wipe with no rig because there's no need for one now, extra mag in your pocket with spares in your bag and you're all good now. This game edition will make character progression and even late game so un-believably different for those that buy it and those that don't. I had so much fun playing this game when I first got it so I bought the most expensive edition of the game to support the devs. Years later this is the outcome of it.. If I want to be on the same playing field as a lot of the player base I'll have to spend over $160 Canadian to upgrade from my already owned most expensive edition to do so? ..Really? The Devs have to be so wildly disconnected from it's community to pull something like this and honestly I'm over it. I don't want to end up sounding dramatic but I can't see myself wanting to play a game that I know the players I'm playing against have a sizable advantage over me and I also can't see myself accepting that this is fine and buying it.. so I guess I'm done playing for the foreseeable future. I don't think any game will fill the Tarkov void but oh well. Good luck in your raids everyone!

If the offline mode is not part of EOD then Battlestate is officially breaching marketing laws (at least in EU) and should be sued. I can't believe they are treating their playerbase like this. What a shame.

Legally speaking BSG is in hot water. Even if you use the way back machine. The E.O.D Version stated in plain text that the version gives you the season pass and every expansion created for Tarkov. That would include anything else BSG may create including an offline PvE mode as well the Arena version. The fact they gave Arena to E.O.D already sets a preset that any DLC content including the expansions would be covered by E.O.D. The Offline Co-op not being covered under the EOD and in fact creating a new 250 dollar Unheard version without even giving all E.O.D owners a free upgrade would 100% run afoul of EU laws and even US laws. Sure they can argue that the ToS changes and subject to change would not hold up in court if this was brought into light to the EU's consumer affairs. In short BSG may be forced to give all E.O.D members free upgrade or allow E.O.D members to return the game no matter how old their account is because it is a breach. You can say "well they are russian" well EU can full stop block all transactions to their company, freezing their assets and overall force BSG to pull the game off the digital shelves.

I got edge of darkness because it is the best and was supposed to give all future updates. The shit in the update should be standard not extra.

I've only ever had standard because I play solo and this game usually tilts me and I quit by level 25 every wipe (if I even play) for one reason or another. I was considering this for the offline prog, but 250$? Insane. I hope they add offline prog for everyone. I think that's an unpopular opinion, but at the end of the day at least people would be playing the game and not just quitting. And there's no skirting around this with delusions.. pay to win with a crazy price point. Anyone who plays this game a decent amount is going to feel stupid for not getting this and BSG knew that when they made it.

For anyone who wants this same experience that should have came with your EOD. 1. Install SPT aki (buy the base game before dont pirate) 2.Install SIT manager for Co-op (I host my own co-op server on my dedicated game hosting server) 3. Connect with friends and not get Effed over by BSG

And all of the people that got EOD and supported the studio for 8 years, recommended the game to others that got EOD as well can get shafted. EOD should get access to the offline coop with progression as well, if not everything new version has. Game is not even released yet and they have better edition than EOD. Feels like they are trying to squeeze last money out of the thing before it goes haywire. EDIT: What I find to be weird the most, is that you @Pestily have no problem with this scummy practice. Let me remind you this not a car or released product yet. 8 years in early access! 8! EDIT 2: Pay 2 win is not a problem. Problem is they are lying to their customers. I have the eod version and I love tarkov but when my friends stopped being my friends and I had no one to play with I just kinda stopped I even spent a whole wipe only playing with my scav so yes I am gonna by the new edition or whatever just so I can start playing by myself and not have to worry bout dying every raid to three and four man teams

They should have given EOD players this edition for free or an insanely cheap price. Pay to Win aside, $100 upgrade is criminal to those who have payed for the initial package and was promised they would get everything afterwards. Sure, I am relatively indifferent to them selling it at $250 but this just feels like they're strong arming people into coming and playing the game with all of these crazy upgrades. The EOD community absolutely needs to be vocal about this and THEY absolutely need to make changes.

Pestily, you knew that this would create tremendous issues within the community the second you heard Nikita confirm its existence during your “community interview”. Why did you not address it then? As members of the community these are the types of decisions we want to be prevented from being made before we get to these divisive points. If it was addressed in the interview that a new edition that is better than EOD is just about the worst thing they could do for their community this could have been avoided but nonetheless, here we are.

I've got several friends who've been waiting for years hoping BSG would put out a PVE, CO-OP Offline Mode. They said if they ever do that, they'd buy a copy immediately. I get the feeling when I tell them that mode costs $250, they're going to change their mind. What the hell, man, why can't all editions get access to that? They finally add it, after all these years, and restrict it like this? I admit, that hurts.

I am 100% convinced that a certain team of developers that may have made a single player version of this game will make it co-op now just to spite Nikita

If people were calling EOD pay2win because of the increased stash size, this is LITERALLY pay2win for not needing to bring rigs in on certain loadouts and having more ability to loot in real time in the raids (not even counting the tangible advantage through skills like aim drills, covert movement, stamina etc)

Wait so this new pve offline mode with progression is it just normal tarkov but you can play offline and progress but then if and when you chose go back to normal online tarkov and have that progression transfer over? Or is it an entirely separate mode with its Own progression system

I like how they said "there is never going to be a CO-OP with Progression", because i was very interested in that, and would've loved to see it. Both for myself but also for others who might prefer that over the regular PvEvP. But they said no. And then i swear they saw Gray Zone gaining hype, and Gray Zone is gonna offer PvE only servers. Now we get it but you have to pay for it. That's kinda crazy to me.
