They missed making that hard wire into the 12v instead of using the plug. That would make it look really clean.

@@narae0822 Yes, you have to plug it into 12V socket in the rear trunk. You only use very little electricity because the default is opaque which doesn’t use electricity at all. That’s sweet. Would be way better if a very narrow solar panel strip and battery was its power source vs 12v plug in socket. Overall, definitely needed in a Tesla

One with a significantly minimalist border would be necessary for us to even consider such a modification, since the glass roof is one of the features that adds to the over all experience of driving a TESLA, which many vehicles don’t even offer… We agree that it would be great if TESLA offered an OEM version, and eventual option for their vehicles during purchase. After all they eventually incorporated additional ambient lighting and a rear screen in the newest Highland version Model 3… 🤔

You should’ve done a test without the shade to see how hot it got inside at 91* outside. Maybe just the shade would save more heat. Example without shade inside is 120* with shade opaque 97* with clear 101*??

I still think the cost is to high. hauto stuff is super flaky customer service is even more flaky in my past experience. Make this like 299$ add a discount code and some decent support and also a non 12v plug option and I could see this taking off. But I’d bet the failure rate on this will be = to all the other products they sell. Then you are stuck in WhatsApp hoping to eventually get a response.

Great Chanel!!! Definitely a bad choice to use up the 12v. It makes it not look so smooth, and you can't use the sub trunk fridge at the same time. Good idea tho. someone said it already, but i live in Australia and can't buy from them because their shipping cost more than the products (evbase) is where we can go, so waiting for them to get this product 😂

@@jayko23 appreciate your comment. I did test the heat difference between Opaque and clear which turned out that Opaque version reduced 4+ F when the car sitting in the direct sun in 91F weather. But I think the shade itself does reduce the heat both with and without turning on opaque function. Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃

@dadstoyscars I think for now the electrical sunroof or even the manual one does provide the most protection against heat. I live in Florida, so that is a huge factor for me. Thanks for the video and your response.

@@user-sr8nb6tk6n when I tested in the video only showed Opaque reduced 4F from clear. But after using it yesterday in 100F+ weather and we park the car out in the sun about 3 hours I was impressed and felt like it reduced a lot more than I thought. Because when got in the car it felt a lot cool than I think it would be in 100F weather and I left it on Opaque. I believe the sunshade itself both with and without opaque already had UV coating on it. Opaque function definitely helped more to reduce the sun rays from getting in the interior.
