I am so excited about this, totally going to purchase it when I get the rest of my curriculum. Currently waiting for some things to come out first to save on shipping. I have those extra books too, I love pairing that flower book and game too.

Thanks for sharing this! I'm planning on getting it for my 1st and 2nd gradd kids. I have a feeling it will be a little young for them because they are advanced in most subjects, but I wanted something fun and colorful. Planning on adding in other books from our collection and the library to add extra depth and content.

We started using this about a month ago and there are so many things I like about it! The videos are great, the intro activities have been pretty engaging, and the illustrations are (of course) beautiful! One thing I think is important to note, is that it really makes a better spine or springboard than complete curriculum. Adding extra stories or activities has been necessary for us because we tend to like delving in a little deeper to topics even at preschool level (my little one asks a lot of questions LOL). The only other con was that the writing in the Big Book of Stories can be a little underwhelming/cheesy at times. BUT all the info is there, so I’d still call it a good buy!

Oh my gosh, we used TGTB for kinder for math and language arts and I thought I wouldn’t bother with the extra subjects when it came to buying curriculum but this has my heart! I love it so much. You got me. I’m ordering lol

I’ve been thinking of getting this for my girls. My oldest will be in 1st grade and we’ve been looking through the marine biology science unit and it looks like a lot for that age. Thanks for the flip through.

Definitely need to get my hands on this when I can!! Your flip through has me even more sold ☺️. We use lots of The Good & The Beautiful and this would be the perfect addition. We did Marine Biology but my two are still young and some was just way over their heads but loved the content.

It's a really sweet curriculum and so perfect... it was exactly what we needed! I can't wait to use their regular science units when my younger ones are a bit older... I am actually excited to see the future units they will release 👀 for little hearts and hands!

I feel you on using the regular science units with such a huge age gap. In my experience I think you will have so much fun doing the science units when all of your kiddos can do it together.This little science curriculum looks so cute 🥰. This is the perfect bridge between the science units for families with younger kiddos.

I like the gentle approach of this curriculum. I had to really consider what 2nd grade was like and they still have circle time. I don't recall science or history at that time at all.

Just watched it with my little and she wants it now!! She’s only 3.5 but wants to do school like her brothers. We are getting ready to do a food unit (she got to choose!) through Purely Preschool, but she’s my little go-getter so I’m trying to get ahead of her. This looks perfect!! I am planning to purchase this to use for my kids this fall. Even though my oldest are going into 3rd grade I think it will be a fun way to kick off the year. We used an Apologia science book read aloud fashion this past year and I can't say we loved it. We've been at 1 book for 2 years and we still aren't through it. :/

My oldest son is going into the 3rd grade in the Fall too! Honestly feel like it was still great for him! We did a lesson on Friday and it was so fun! I've heard great things about Apologia and would definitely want to try that curriculum out! Thanks for sharing this! Which unit from Apologia are you doing? I'm intrigued now! 😅❤️

My son is 7, going into 2nd. We juuust started marine biology and were liking it. But my daughter is only 3, so I think this would be a better fit. We might do it in addition to the unit study, or maybe we’ll just naturally pause it. Thanks for sharing!

We love TGTB science but we don’t feel like their regular science units are age appropriate for our youngest kids!!! We do our science after she’s in bed!!! I love that they have a younger option!!! Our seasons are going to be opposite so doing the lessons in a different order would work if it’s seasonal based!!! That looks like it would fit in with our location!!! This looks like it has social studies in as well!!! My daughter loves long stories as she no longer naps so it be a prefer afternoon activity!!!

Yes I like adding to it! I have a do a lesson with me video here on my KZfaq channel and definitely use other resources with it if I'm feeling adventurous lol... but if I want a quick and effective lesson... it's great on its own, too! :)

I like that this reader is more modern and seem to have more action. My daughter's only complaint this year from TGTB is that the Level 1 reader is so boring.

I can see that especially because their readers are more "vintage" lol I know they are changing things up with their readers... so it could be interesting to see what they will come out with for new levels that they are updating!
