From inside the exciting world of thermal shooting optics, Jeff Murray-EVP of Sellmark-and Chase Stephens-Pulsar Brand Manager-discuss two thermal attachments that Pulsar has unveiled in 2022.
First up - the Krypton FXG50. Presented by Mr. Murray, this 640-sensor, 12-micron thermal attachment can be affixed to a daytime scope to easily imbue it with thermal capabilities. Utilizing a B-Pack Battery, the Krypton gives users over 8 hours of battery life so they can stay on the hunt all night long!
Available in a single-purchase kit, the Krypton has 3 mounting options: 2 unique attachments for 40mm and 50mm objective lenses, and 1 attachment for riflescopes 50-56mm. Instead of requiring users to make multiple, small purchases of these accessories, the Krypton, and all its necessary components, are available in a single kit!

Next - the Proton FXQ30. Introduced by Mr. Stephens, the Proton FXQ30 is a thermal attachment that utilizes the familiar APS battery that is compatible with many of the past Pulsar units. With a 384x288 sensor, the Proton is a lighter, more compact unit than the Krypton, and it provides different prices options for different types of shooters.
Excellent for AR-platform users with lower-magnification scopes, the Proton fills a unique market niche. For even larger objective lenses, with very large base magnifications, the Proton has a separately-purchased attachment to accommodate the Proton. The Proton is excellent for 200-400 yard shots, and for shooters who need an easy option to transform one of their daytime riflescope platforms into a thermal powerhouse!
