I’m back at Six Flags Magic Mountain for another park update! We check up on the Fright Fest preparations and of course talk about some more rumors about a new attraction. More clues are showing up at the park so could we see a new ride announcement soon?

Heya, employee of six flags here. It'd be awesome if your next fright fest video you could shout out the entertainment department. We've been working 40-60+ hour weeks installing all the decor and lighting for the event. Our salary is well below what we deserve so some recognition would go a long way to keep morale up

YT vlogger TheDailyWoo posted a vid titled "The Empty But Amazing Opening Night Of Six Flags Fright Fest..." MM needs to turn over so many dollars per day to meet daily expenses, much less a profit. Dylan's vids are good in showing what MM needs or what could be in its future. So far, the park has way too many overly wide concrete pathways without trees to break up the monotony. Or to help prevent heat stroke. Most vids of MM rarely show those walkways packed with visitors. So why all the concrete, Six Flags?

I remember seeing the Royal Chinese Acrobats as well as a few hypnotists in that theater. Great memories. It is always negative for me that they don't have any theater shows. Other theme parks (even the ones in the Six Flags chain) have audience driven shows but MM has always been a place of vacant theaters and zero audience experiences. With the oppressive heat that often marks a SFMM day, the vacant theaters always had me scratching my head. Such a wasted opportunity

I think the park just doesn’t do well with big entertainment spaces like that. The park is just a thrill park, and that’s fine but it would be hard for them to shift in a different direction.

Since blue spray paint means potable water I am holding with the idea that there will be water fountains/filling station capabilities in front of the theater. But that doesn't discount the idea of a future ride there since it's always a smart idea to fill up your water before waiting in a long line. There are so many ride possibilities for the park. How about a water based dark ride? Speelunkers at SFOT was such a staple to my childhood that it would be nice to see that kind of ride here too.

That’s the biggest crowd I’ve seen in the front area. Take it from a former employee which my area when I was working there was that area of the park

Most everyone agrees that those blue "survey markers" pertain to potable water. And more likely these markers were placed by an 811 call to the "before you dig" service. You give them your permit number and they come out and identify/mark all of the utilities in your proposed construction zone. Most true "survey makers" that pertain to "finding" the location of things to be, are pink in color. Pink paint or pink flags on stakes. Then there are "monuments". Permanent markers (usually metal) embedded into the ground that can define gigantic spaces by triangulation. Often a monument may be hundreds of yards away from the area that is under construction. Using monuments and latest generation survey equipment that leverages GPS technology, a location can be "found" within a fraction of an inch. This is the exact practice that is used to ensure that a roller coaster footer ends up in the right place. (Up to and including the orientation of the bolt pattern to match the support.)

Never seen something in that theater but the look and location will be missed. A new log ride in the theater area would be funny.

I think it's just utility / solar / beautification by golden bear theatre. They probably want to use the area more for shows, theming, and/or upsales

We got to the park at opening to do hurricane harbor for the kids. Half the slides are down for the season and it got crowded around noon. Jumped across to magic mountain, did X2 twice in like an hour and had to call it. Yeah it was insanity even for a holiday!!!! Lol

@@ThemeParkObsessionDD we thought the same thing. In their defense, Bamboo chutes and Taboo Tower were down all summer. But the rest all being down at the same time on a big holiday weekend means something must’ve been pretty messed up. Either way, the kids had fun and that’s what it’s all about ain’t it!!?? Lol

Actually i went on the same day took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to get in but, i stil rode The Classic Revolution, Goliath, West coast racers, Batman the ride, and Wonder woman

$30 for haunt pass with regular admission $10 hanut pass with any tier of the annual pass if you have a young one and don't want they scared screaming 7pm is when it starts.

Superman has been down quite some time. I wonder if they decided to rip it out an dlowed the hill as the markers are right behind the Dragon House which is the opposite side of the theater.

they actually renamed it for fright fest .. i was at Full throttle queue line at night (the top)and it said /" Steak House"/ instead i though i was tripping at first.😳...
