The muddy Percy that came with the bucket is the as the muddy wave but only difference is that Percy has the same face as his celebration variant.

I love these builder sets but I find the 3-way switch incredibly difficult to use. I like building flatter layouts with a smidge of height, these are useful for regular points, risers, and those awesome buffer pieces.

I agree, the 3 way switch, while interesting, just isn't very practical on a more realistic layout. I too love the buffer pieces!

Another Thomas item I got before it was even announced. The Muddy Percy is just about the same as the one from the Muddy Wave, but the only difference is the face, which is also used on the celebration version.

That looks pretty cool. I would have absolutely would like to have this just for the 3 way point switch because I never gotten that much of accessories as for the x crossing I may use it as somewhat of a crossing Hill or some sort. Muddy Percy, on the other hand It's literally just the muddy Percy expect a few differences and face.

I did end up finding that set at my walmart. Still find it weird that we have a 3 way switch piece in motorized form....

How well is it with a long train like a 6 car mine cart train and bruno for example?

I honestly haven't tried it with more than two cars but I would think it wouldn't do great with more than 3. The 3 way switch can move if bumped and I would think it could cause derailments on longer trains. Also with the steep hills, I think it would cause the cars to detail when going down too. :(
