@Capitalize YEAH! I was surprised, they played "Part of Me" in Sydney, slightly extended, and Maynard SCREAMED like he hasn't in years. Then, they played "Descending" (hard to sing so beautifully after screaming your head off) and then closed with Stinkfist. And, in "PART OF ME", Maynard ACTUALLY went up TO FRONT OF STAGE!

This is one of the pieces i have been waiting for the hardest. Almost as much as the new album. I was/am so excited for the studio version of opiate. The middle section is absolutely amazing… was one of the best feelings ever when i saw it live in 2015. I almost can’t believe tool is actually fucking releasing things. This was one of the great white whales. And I hate that everyone is looking a gift horse in the mouth already but I’m gonna too… by saying that I hope they release more shit. We need live stuff guys. We do. It’s time. It’s way past time but it’s also time. This includes live shit from all the way back. If you got it, release it and just collect tons of money! Everyones happy.

Surely with all the extended live versions they have to consider releasing a live album with all that stuff on it. I get the whole being there aspect of being surprised when an extended version is played live, but they should also make that material available to the fans who can't afford to see them live. Some of the live versions are better than the album versions to be honest.

any live show music is far better than a studio album, especially with tool. although there is an aura when you see tool live. they have been my fave since i was in 7th grade. my best friend and I learned all the words to undertow by listening to it a bajillion times. @@APerfectToolSifer We don't agree. Everyone swings from their nuts like they're special or some shit, but they're not. When's the last time you looked at the lyrics to their songs? It looks like a 6th grader wrote that shit. And the content? Hooker with a penis? Stinkfist? Really? Write the first several bars...write the simplest hook ever created....repeat the entire first half of the song but change one word....repeat hook. Got it. That's literally the format for every song they've ever made. On Fear Inoculum, he resorted to just straight up talking for like 8 bars. Talking. Very imaginative. Do you listen to Tool ironically? Cuz Maynard openly hates his fans. He tells you not to follow people. And then you follow him. That's probably why the band name is Tool. Get it? It's a joke on you. And it goes over your head.
