I have always always struggled with the exact scenario that you highlighted in this video! Skin tones will often be similar to other tones in the image and being able to isolate just an area to adjust the hue of is a game changer. Before, I'd have to take images into photoshop to do something like this. Editing a set of wedding images, you don't want to do that 150+ times :)

This is a good tip and its easy to use on solo pics, but what about group pics? You have to sit there and brush 10 people's faces? Why can't they make a qualifier like Davinci to make things a million times easier?

I had been doing something very similar. I would use the brush if i wanted to fix the skin tones, eyes, and adjust the exposure or contrast... I would use hsl after brushing the skin to make my corrections... Very similar.. Great vid bro. Btw, would you critique my latest vid?

Awesome tip Teppo. Thank you! I am not a Lightroom user myself as I prefer Camera RAW and Photoshop. However, it looks as if the latest version of Adobe Camera RAW has the same controls as Lightroom.

Great video! But i must say that davinci resolve has far superior tools to perfecting skin tones... i really wish adobe lightroom would make a qualifier and then it would be much easier to just selecting only the skin tones.......

Great video on skin tones, you should update to use the new AI masks like face and skin selection. It worked perfectly in the new Lightroom with the AI masks

Hello Teepo or anybody here at the community who can help me. O shoot big events of college graduates and sometimes we have 4 to 8 photographers at the same event shooting with the canon rp and 6D. Im trying to find if I could make unique names to these camera files so when export to my lightroom they don’t have the same name. Is there anyway? Thanks in advance for any help 📸

I ditched Adobe. For my business, I couldn’t justify the subscription. Capture one is arguably better than Lightroom.

Teppo Haapoja Yes! You can buy the latest version or buy it with a subscription so that you get future updates. I like the way it processes better than Lightroom as well.
