I purchased a Dynon D3 for the copilot side of my panel for easier viewing of Altitude and Ground Speed. The D3 is NOT FAA certified, and it does not replace any primary instrument. I attached the unit to my panel with heavy duty velcro that is typically used on an EZ pass. it worked just fine.
I hope to get some airtime this weekend and give the unit a test, comparing numbers to my certified instruments.
