@@daniilrusanau5849 Tell me about it. Ireland has a worsening housing crisis with record levels of homelessness and extortionate rent/house costs that are way above the EU average. I bought mine in september 2022 and preferred it to Hiundai i10, Kia Piccanto and another small car which name I have forgotten. The AygoX drives a lot better than the before mentioned cars. It feels bigger and lighter, a noble car to drive. You feel secure and not squeezed in a too small cabin. Yes, the engine is weak, but sounds great. Brakes are impressive and there is NO squeaking sounds - says a man, who is used to italian cars. I like the near-fact, that a Toyota very seldom sees the inside of a garage unless is it for service. All in all I am very happy for the car - never thought I would be.

I have had mine since August after placing order mid June. One of the most pleasing / fun cars I have owned. Exclusive Auto, with the opening roof. Although the engine is not the most powerful, I have found it perfectly adequate … I am not sure how aggressive a driver I would need to be, to find it problematic. I drive mostly in town, but sometimes A roads and motorways too, and I generally find it quite fun to drive, perhaps because of the handling which you do acknowledge. Reasonable review in other ways, I guess, but people looking seriously at this kind of car are not bothered about the most luxurious interior plastics, or the absolute sizes of loadspace etc … if you can do weekly shopping, weekend trips etc. it is fine.

No doubt new cars are overpriced but I would still be interested in buying one. It is possible now to get a new one for 13.5k only the entry level model but it is still reasonably well equipped, although it isn't the best in class in many areas the 10 year warranty and the fact it is tried and tested technology is too much to ignore. Some of the mileage you see on the classified from older aygos is huge, I've never seen a small engine car do so many miles, although slow, the fact it's naturally aspirated unlike a lot of these newer engines with turbo chargers means it just won't go wrong in the long term... For that reason I would buy one

I have the older Aygo which I love for it's size. Brilliant for being able to park it where larger cars just will not fit. With parking spaces at a premium in most towns & cities, why oh why do manufacturers insist on making the smaller cars in their range bigger? They already manufacture larger cars if that's what you want. I will be keeping my old Aygo for a few more years & carry on laughing at the people who, when they park their huge car, they cannot open the door wide enough to get out😂

I had a 2019 mid spec version of the previous Aygo. White with the black trim, looked fantastic. Same performance as this one and you very quickly get used to and actually ’drive’ it. It’s one of those classic small cars that really likes to be worked and you don’t have to try to go fast to feel like you are. It actually rewards good driving, in a way that was quite unexpected. Oh, and of course no niggles or teething troubles of any kind. No problems at all in fact. Well, it’s a Toyota. (And the person who has the car now has had not a single issue either, that’s normal) Yes, the engine is ‘slow’ if you don’t drive it properly - or just can’t be bothered of course - but it’s great fun on the twisty bits. I’ve had Audi, BMW, Alfa, Lancia and others, but the Aygo was (and probably still is in its new guise) much better than a short time with the car can probably show. The previous model shared underpinnings with Citroen (C1) and Peugeot (108). This new one is pure Toyota from the ground up. I’m not so gone on the looks of the Cross but I guess it’ll get better with time. Great car though.

I have owned my AYGO X for 8 months now. And previous to that I owned a second gen Aygo from 2018 till 2022. On the whole I am very impressed with it. Performance - It is lacklustre and quite poor. I wish they would fit a turbo to this engine, or increase the size of the engine to a 1.2 maybe. On country lanes, especially when going between 2nd and 3rd it is very fun to drive. Steering is direct and the throaty engine note gives you some satisfaction and confidence to chuck it around a bit more. Handling - It does roll a little bit. But because of the stiff suspension that does compensate it. Around town you can dart in and out of traffic with ease. The turning circle is second to none. It’s gotten me out of a few tricky spots in the past. Practicality - It is an improvement on the previous Aygo. As I am the only driver of the car I rarely, if ever, sit in the back seats. But those who have sat in them have told me they are decent for short journeys but not for longer journeys. Boot space is certainly an improvement on the previous car. I can fit all my bags that I need for work and still have enough room for a weekend away bag and shopping. Economy - I have been getting on average between 59mpg > 67mpg. And I do quite a bit of motorway driving. Filling it up with fuel costs less than £50 on average from empty. Good points - The safety systems are very good, practicality is good (for what I need it for), driving experience is good and I like the funky styling. Better than the i10 and Picanto on style. They just look bland and cheap too. I love the rear windows on the Aygo X, means your car is never warm in the summer if left in the sun. Just have to pick your location if you are going to do that. Bad things - The engine is lacklustre, it certainly needs the capacity increasing or a turbo being fitted. The lane departure and safety equipment can get in the way if you are trying to pass a row of parked cars for example. The seats, on longer journeys, can be uncomfortable. Overall I like it. I would prefer a Yaris, but if you want a non hybrid, small city car with all the creature comforts of the Yaris but non of the expense. I’d go for the Aygo X.

I've had quite a few Aygos over the years, which we use as our 2nd car for City running around and when my wife or I are driving alone. For single driving, or picking up one of the kids from school, it's great, but we seldom use it if we need to drive with a person in the back seat because our kids are adult height now. It was such a cheap car, but did the job and allowed us to spend bigger on an upmarket family SUV as our other car. They've barely changed this new X version from the outgoing one, but they have just tried to double the price by giving it a new identity. Toyota have always called me every 2 years to upgrade to the latest face-lift Aygo versions for the same monthly price. But when this one landed, I said, "No & never!" It's not worth it. They just put some dark plastic around the mudguards and refreshed the interior design, but anyone who has driven an Aygo can see it's virtually identical. Even the engine is the same one used since 2014, just the auto box has changed from clutch less auto to CVT, but the new one's even slower than the outgoing one (which was pretty much the slowest car I've owned in the last 30 years). I like the one I have, it's just a year old, but Toyota were already trying to get me to upgrade it. This is likely to be my last Aygo.

Having come from a Picanto GT line S (£15,300 4 years ago), I found the test drive of this new Aygo a bit dismal. It sure looks good, but the inside felt a bit basic and the engine was very weak - 14.9 secs to 60 mph is pretty grim. And I see the 'little Aygo' has already begun to grow - from 3.46 metres to 3.7 metres. How long before it becomes an SUV like every other car on the road (almost)?

Rear seat space doesnt matter, is of no significance when you are an only adult or couple, my 20 year old Toyota Corolla is still going strong and back seats never ever used in all that time, obviously a family with 3 kids/ need a people carrier or bigger car, so the Toyota Aygo is really for a single person or couple and do you think reviewers are too picky? looking for a car that doesnt exist ? Also doesnt matter how powerfull an engine is , youre only allowed to do 70 mph by Law or get fined/points on license

Yes it is the best small car - probably because its the only small car you can buy now. And that's not a small price. I think manufacturers deleting small economical petrols so resources can be directed at making a profit off rich people's electric SUVs shows contempt for the buying public. I guess I'll have to keep an old banger going for good - mad max style.

This car is perfect for nipping in and out of traffic in towns/cities but for the price you pay for it, it should have more power. 71bhp isn't great for today's standards. I am not asking for 130bhp, 90 or 100bhp would be ideal.

I honestly feel that the world has gone mad. Why on earth is an Aygo being produced as an SUV???? This is not an SUV and they have tried to make it look like one. The set up will cause it to use more fuel than a normal Aygo and the buyer still doesn’t get the benefit of an SUV like vehicle. And it’s a bloody rip off !!!
