Hasn’t Hickman earned your trust by now? Surely a divisive X-Family character heel turn isn’t worth discounting his future projects! Or is this to do with G.O.D.S.? I haven’t read it or been in tune with the discourse surrounding it because I need to wait for Marvel Unlimited on that one due to my already bloated monthly comics pull.😅

@@Popcultureguy3000i think his argument could be about not liking ultimate invasion. in not liking that book, he could be weary of hickman's ultimate spider-man: but i'm not. i'm pretty interested in his new ultimates and ultimate spider-man runs. i loved hickman's original ultimates run; to the point that, i think it's better than his avengers run. so seeing more of that type of storytelling, i'm interested in. it's pretty interesting reading a hickman superhero run that is a solo hero run because most of the time he writes for team runs.

You missed out on a lot of great stuff in the Krakoan era. I think because of it certain villain characters are even going to stay heroes for a long time, like Madelyn Pryor, Cain Marko, Frenzy, Daken, and maybe even Greycrow. More obscure characters like Synch, Curse, Tempo, (Cerebra from X-Men 2099!?) and Nature Girl have been given a huge spotlight ensuring a lot of appearances and starring roles in the near future just from fan demand or from fan attention. More people know what 80’s X-Fans have known for years, that Storm is probably the best leader of the X-Men. And now we even have brand new characters like all the new young Mutants introduced in The New Mutants (the most attention grabbing being trans Mutant Shela Sexton, Escapade), Somnus, Theia, Amass, Crave, and Rasputin IV(the Mutant refugee from the dead dystopian timeline of The Sins of Sinister who was first introduced in Powers of X). I honestly kinda pity a lot of people who dropped off after reading only a House of X/Powers of X, you missed out on what is soon to be five years of great comics.

@@Popcultureguy3000 yeah, but i don't think it was worth character assassinating moira to become a villain to prolong this era of x men. she was the key to this entire thing, but nope she's an evil robot lady now. also yeah nature girl getting character assassinated too in this era. but hey if you like it, more power to you. also i didn't leave after HOX/POX, i left after inferno; when hickman left the title, i and many others left too.

@@johnthai6188 Oh, well in that case you should’ve had more faith in Kieron Gillen, Si Spurrier, and Al Ewing to Shepard us through the Destiny and Fall of X phases of this era, they’ve always been fantastic writers and their respective series, the AXE: Judgement Day crossover event, and The Sins of Sinister have been absolute standouts in terms of quality. (Not that Gerry Duggan or Steve Orlando have been slouch’s either, but as much as I loved Steve’s Marauders and its absolutely insane bootstrap paradox time travel story and the new trio of Mutants (Theia, Amass, and Crave) from an impossible past civilization called Threshold that story has given us, the British writers have just been the superior writers of these two phases! It’s like a mini redo of the 80’s British Invasion in the X-Office!) But I’ll admit, as a guy who’s only read a little bit of Chris Claremont’s titanic nearly 20ish year run on classic X-Men, I’ve no where near as much fondness for the character as a lot of other fans. With that being said, I’m starting to think the other machines, Nimrod and the Omega Sentinel, have actually tampered with Robo Moira’s aggression and memory, because she seemed to directly blamed Xavier for her bodies death in the latest (or I guess, _last_ ) Hellfire Gala when she should know better, and shows no sign of even seeing Mutantkind as a subset of humanity with an “affliction” like she did in Inferno. Really, the only character whose character assassination I was concerned with, was Hank McCoy’s. However, I’ll concede that with The Beast the writers seemed to have laid various potential seeds to give him a better out from this heel turn with that Russian Mutant The Chronicler (who writes what he says about a Mutant into reality) and what happened in Dennis “Hopeless” Hallum and Cullen Bunn’s black magic shenanigans Young Beast got up to in those books (at the conclusion of the Toil and Trouble arc of X-Men: Blue, young Hank said all the black magic he did damaged his soul, so if that’s the reason he’s acting like a bastard, perhaps magic can make Hank more like his old self). *Edited:* Sorry for the wall of text everyone! I just loved Destiny of X for it’s ambitious storytelling so much! I’ve spent the most I’ve ever had in years on these comics even with my monthly Marvel Unlimited subscription.

@@johnthai6188 Also, at least with Nature Girl the *_real reason_* she took that heel turn was more complex than seeing a sea turtle choke to death on a plastic bag. Poor Curse is probably going to be a hated character by a subset of X-Fans for a long time from now on…. But then again, that might exactly be the reaction the second (and better of the two) X-Men: Green writer, Steve Orlando, was aiming for. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@Popcultureguy3000 might i remind you again that i was enjoying this era of x men, when hickman was on the title: also before the dumb heel turn of moira. either way i'm happy that you are enjoying this era of x men, it's just not for me anymore. as i've stated before, this new ultimate x men run will make me want to read modern x men again. i still think to this day that house of x and powers of x is a great x men story on it's own. it's one of my favorite marvel events. just because i don't like what happened to this title after hickman left, doesn't mean i didn't like what hickman was building. you make it sound like i didn't like krakoa era of x-men at all, but i did like it before inferno and hickman leaving.
