Really, I thank you very much! A very good and honest comparrison. I almost bought the UTI 80P Pocket Camera with 80*60 Pixels for ~240€ (in Germany). Now I ordered the UTi260B 256 from Banggood for ~290€ incl. the import tax insurance! Its only 50€ more; but the difference of the picture quallity is amazing!

Hast du Erfahrungen mit dem Bosch Gerät? Ich überlege mir auch eine can zu holen aber brauche eine schnellere Bildrate für thermographie... Berichte Mal, wenn du die Cam hast wie sie ist! Abo ist save!

To me all your review videos look like promotion videos. As a technical channel i expect more, I do not want to see product demo or specifications that i can get from manufactures site.

I've been shopping around for thermal cameras, and honestly you just saved me from buying that cheap yellow HT-02 or whatever it is. Been looking for a good camera to use for electronics repair, this one looks like it will actually do the business and have good enough resolution to pinpoint parts instead of "This area of the board." Will look around to see where I can get this from for a decent price. Probably going to avoid banggood.

The manufacturer of the ir sensor of this camera (InfiRay) now made their own similar imager, the InfiRay C210. Looking for a comparison between this uti260b and the newer C210, as I think the c210 is now a better buy than the 260b.

@@gorgar6059 But unfortunately all miss the manual focus? The infiray T2L has it, it's easy to carry and can be used for analysing electr. circuits becuase of the manual focus. I have a Flir. I have to admit it hasn’t found as much use for repairs as I had expected. I have found it good for big control panel but lack precision for PCB work. Thanks for the review regards Chris

It would be nice to see some more practical uses of this camera. For example, how easy is it to spot and distinguish a hot 0402 cap/resistor on a phone motherboard?

Did i detect a liking for this product :-D Uni-T make some decent budget multimeters for the money. Don't buy a thermal camera from fluke, you will need to sell the house and next doors cat to afford it lol. That uni-t looks bloody perfect for your diagnostics, very handy tool. Hey stop kissing that uti260b :) Aim it at a linear psu pass transistors and panic by the crappy unbalanced heatsinking.

It's a nice camera and I wouldn't mind one especially the hi-res one........but I still like my Flir C2 ($470 USD new all in), the MSX technology help soooooo much with Pcb repair.

I use the FLIR One for electronics, which is the same sensor as the C2 but in a different format. They are only 80x80 pixels and the MSX technology is very similar with the Image Blending on this one. I will upgrade to this one, mostly because of the much better sensor.

L'appareil se connect très bien au PC. Avec le logiciel télécharger sur le cité d'unit il faut avoir un pc puissance qui gère du graphisme,moi j'utilise un gamer portable ça va très bien par contre le logiciel n'est pas très performant et limite en langues

Does this camera get hot while charging? Specifically, I feel warm from the trigger of taking photos.and this warm get to all camera body while time in charging it .is this normal or my camera have an issue

Hi, are you still using this Thermal Imager? I've had bad thing happened to me, I just bought it and when I firstly charged it fully it started to make whistling sound and wouldn't turn on anymore. It died completely. I have two questions. How do I disable it? I haven't found any information on the internet, it has some sort of secret I think. It's very tricky or they did it like this on purpose. 2. Important question to me, I measured resistance between 5 volts and gnd on the Type C connector. It shows 200 to 210 ohms. It's not full short circuit, but close. If you have such a chance, can you tell what's your resistance? P.s still cannot understand how it could happen. It looks awesome. Amazing quality. Best brand. And it dies after first charge....

Yep my unit is still working fine, I have been very happy with it, its been charged up a few times since I got it. It sounds a bit like a charging IC failure, maybe it didn't like your charger for some reason? I haven't tried to open mine up yet so I cant give you any definite advice on how to do that, but I just took a look at it and I can see two rubber covers on the handle on the side that face you, the top and bottom strips are not like the rest, so I suspect there are screws under there, so my guess is that you would need to remove those two strips and the screws behind them, and that the top is either clipped or has a hook system to hold it together.

@@TheDefpom that's it. Under these rubber covers are indeed two screws. But on the top side above the screen are two more! And it's a whole puzzle of how to unscrew them. I can send pics of it, if you want. Just tell me where to.

For such a price and good brand, I expected some protection for this charging IC... which this Thermal Imager obviously didn't have. Be careful. What do you charge it with? I used USB port of my laboratory power supply. + it was connected via voltmeter tester from Aliexpress. I thought it was more safety, but it turned out the way around.

@@StoneTL I have used a couple of things, a USB A multi output power supply which you can see in most of my videos, its the white box next to my power supplies against the wall, and more recently I picked up a USBC charger from aliexpress which I have been using with it. Please email me those pictures they will be handy one day when I need to change the internal battery.

i buy one , u can use it to measure Temperature from people and connect it to computer with LCD live , the people see the tempreture itself but u have to add + 2.5 c to get real Temp UTi260H add automatic but doppel the price, u can set Alarm to detect peopel with fieber

The real problem of these products is that you don't have a real guaranty, if the camera breaks in only two months, you lose your money and your camera... very bad on non-existent a real technical repair support and neither a legal guaranty... Chinese way of production... After 2 years, the device (UTi260B) is still working? Thanks

I have it also and it's normal. It's the shutter closing for calibration so image freezing is normal.

Unfortunately it didn't seem to, I have tried connecting the USB C port to my computer and trying to find a video source, but it didn't.

I tried to connect to win11. Installed the software from the manufacturer's website. It detects as a standard webcam but did not initialize properly. and software crashes if you try to connect it in camera mode. It also crashes if you launch it without the camera connected (awesome, right?). The software works ONLY when the imager is connected in disk mode. and it is sort of primitive, but provides some analytical tools and allows access to raw thermal data of images taken. And there's also a python script on GitHub, that extracts raw thermal data from the images, and there's a plea from the author, for the Uni-T team to contact him, as he wants to improve the software capabilities, but Uni-T doesn't seem to care. In short: it seems to be capable of video transmission... but the software just doesn't work. Like, at all.

the problem with all these unit-t and other cheaper chinese gear is their accuracy and their ability to keep their calibration over time. They drift too much too quickly even if they are accurate as brand new which is also not so often. A keysight or fluke (way out of my price range ;-( will be in spec for 2 years easily and most probably even much longer. This Uni-T even if it is accurate as brand new which is doubtful will not be accurate in 0.5-1 year

chinisium things are usually shit ... sad buy true. Also lies on specs a LOT ... i am an old engineer and work with chinese and NO chinese things for decades ... HOWEVER< i tell you that Uni T is very decent brand and I feel satisfy for the price. I work with tektronix and others similar all of the time . UniT is pretty trustable.

@@polemiks7422 Not all, UT61E is great multimeter especially new model they have 2 more good rest are ok-ish, thier low cost RLC meter is crap you can buy arduino based better one for half the price, they have good and cheap DC power supplies, osciloscopes are ok but a bit overpriced comapred to Rigol or even Owon (good for beginers), on the DMM market i only use Fluke and UNIT, Fluke is safer for higher voltages, (altogh they did new UT61E really good and old version passed many tests).
