New Update Steering Wheel Not Working With Forza Horizon 5

Since the latest patch/update several other users are experiencing the exact issues above with force feedback wheels of all brands. This is a forza only issue that I could find as the wheel works normal in NFS Heat and Snowrunner. (Don't disassemble your wheels guys)

Mines very similar, I can get into f1 races but I can't get out of neutral. I'm so glad it isn't my wheel, thanks for uploading

Hey guys I’m pretty sure Forza or Xbox has made the fix. Didn’t even mean to load up Forza because I didn’t think it would work, but my game loaded up with no audio or game bugs.

with the hori overdrive it works on mode 2 which is just recognized as a normal controller with no special wheel settings but not on mode 1 which is the actual steering wheel mode, I've looked everywhere and I know the wheel is supported on fh5, what should I do?

Same issue and same wheel as well. I seriously thought I did something bc I tried it in another Xbox I have and same thing but also same game. Can’t wait to use my wheel again!!

Hey, I'm struggling to find a video that fixes a problem that I have. I have an original Xbox One that's up to date with updates as of today with a Logitech G920 steering wheel. The problem only happens on FH5. Every time I load in and leave the house, the force feedback just isn't there, so I have to unplug and plug it in again. But that's just a temporary fix until I go back in the garage or tab out to do something like inviting someone to a party.

THATS WHAT HAPPENS TO ME ive been Deleting it restarting jt and if i open the xbox menu it freezes and doesnt wanna drive when using it it turns the opposite and i was looking rn and where i put the wheel the game doesnt want to work

Same problem here, FH5....exactly same problem as video shown! I have thrustmaster tx wheel. Playing F1 2021 on game pass also, wont even get past loading screen unless I switch to controller and all is fine. Sucks! Think it may be problem with game pass??

the wheel has no problems its just the new update, the new update basically didn't let the wheel work on Forza and were still waiting for the new patch hoping it gets fixed. but if u have a pc try it on there the the wheel should completely be fine I tried it and it worked so its just the new update.

I found it was an update for Xbox that affected the USB ports. I had to go into system settings to fix. *see comments below*

It must be an issue only on old gen consol I had recently switched over to xbox series x because forza 5 wasn't working on my xbox one after it worked perfectly for a long time with old gen and g923 setup. Switched to new gen and everything worked np

Seems like the ONE and other Xbox ONE models. Fixed mine by going into system settings and checking for updates.

From what I have found, it's between the latest update on FH5 or an update on the XBOX ONE affecting the USB port. 🤷‍♂️

I use my xbox remote, however, it chooses either the wheel or remote. For instance I have to be parked to rotate the camera.

Yeah I’ve been waiting on the patch. I found 4 websites that posted 4-5 days ago with a HUGE list of things being fixed. I’m just hoping it releases soon. Otherwise, I’m having a lot of fun with FH4 now, so I may not even go back lol

l was literally going to take my G920 apart since this issue also happens at FS22 when I luckily found out that many other players got the exact same issue.. I think it's Xbox not Forza and hope they come up with a fix anytime soon..

Hey there, Guy, I found the fix was on the system side. I had to manually update my console through system settings... though it self updated that day, later that night I found another available update.

This is happening in old Xbox gens (Xbox one - Xbox one s) I got the new one (series x) and it works fine but the wheel still feels kinda off,. Hopefully the fix this !!
