The horizontal cherry veneer is eye popping as are those 3 24" MFD's in the pilot house. That cockpit configuration was very interesting vs, other N60s I've seen. Wonder why the original owners chose the island configuration vs. locating those items along the wall of the salon (which is the normal setup). At the end of the day it doesn't matter. The N60 and N63 are my top choices as the perfect couple live aboard and world cruising vessel. Cannot wait!!

I wish there was more videos on this vessel. I love these vessels Nordhaven’s. I like the twin motors. I would love to have this ship.

The N-60 has a full walkway on the Starbourd side, she dont have one on the Port side because the saloon gains the added beam of being offset, makes a major difference, this gets rid of that tunnel effect you find in the saloon on other boats that have walkways on both Port and Stb. The N-60 only looks top heavy because of the optional hard top, if you remove the hard top the look of top heaviness goes away and the design looks more ballanced . A lot of the boats have a SS frame that a canvas awning gets laced to for shade on the flybridge, it can also be removed to eliminate windage in storm conditions, also reduces weight aloft. As per looks this is a Trawler, designed to transit oceans and as trawlers go you would be hard pressed to find a better looking boat than this. You can fuel and provision this boat and go anywhere in the world your heart desires, 3000 Nm + range. Build and finish quality is second to none and you can basically have anything you want built in within reason. The models that are being build now have the stairway to the pilot house around the other way, this allows for a shower unit in the toilet for the PH cabin. They have also extended the boat deck with the crane right aft so you can launch the tender both sides and aft with the crane. A beautiful and capable boat, can't wait also.

Personally, I have never understood the attraction of a second command station above the wheel house. These are not superspeed fishing tournament boats. One, it adds a couple of hundred thousand dollars to the price (Stidd chairs are like 5K$ each and the electronic repeater screens and other assorted gear are crazy priced), and two, the aesthetics are awful. Not to mention that piloting over long passages from aloft will beat you down, badly. You want to be out in the wind, fine; put 'er in autopilot and plunk your butt in a deck chair behind the Portugese bulwark and survey the scene. You can drive one of these babies with your iPod without moving an inch from that spot. Having said that, Nordhavn also gave us the N63, which is based on the 55 hull, eminently customizable and eliminates any space problems by dual-using the "utility" room of the 55, while retaining the "look" of the N62, which (let's face it) is the boat that proved that Nordhavn's were true 2-up blue-water ships and, frankly, captured our hearts in the first place.

Some owner needs to get a little creative with the Salon design. These Nordhavn’s are looking too samey, as is the layout and the horizontal cherry veneer. 8608, with walnut interior, had character. It’s like they are stamping out Bayliner interiors.
