I'm a Leeds fan but I like to be honest and give credit where credit's due. Anfield isn't just a football stadium, it's holy ground in the world of football. Stadiums are like cathedrals where followers go to worship and Anfield is one of the iconic stadia. I like the way they've not copied most big clubs and gone down the goldfish bowl route. Anfield is instantly recognisable and that adds gravitas and kudos. It may not be the biggest ground in the world but I'd argue it's the most legendary. And let's not forget, it's the birthplace of YNWA. Celtic & Dortmund started copying many years later but they're just weak imitations. YNWA is Anfield and Anfield is YNWA. Good luck for the season boys. I hope you win the title and get back in the CL where you belong.

The SKD stand can’t be redeveloped because of the close proximity of the houses. However, the Kop could be rebuilt - which would push the capacity nearer to 70 000.

I remembered when I went to this marvelous/historical stadium in 2021. It was a dream come true, and the feelings are ecstacy when touring the stadium. I met Phil Thompson the great. My next goal is to visit during a game so I can feel the spirit of the Great Anfield. YNWA

I have only watched liverpool in Melbourne and Brisbane Australia during preseasons of 2013 and 2016..the dream is to get to watch liverpool at my Mecca anfield..a part of my ashes will be taken to anfield by my family one day also

@@Martin_37e won't listen, blokes adamant that it's going to be left empty without seats even though multiple people keep telling him to go on the official LFC seating plan for confirmation. He goes on every site saying in his opinion it'll be left bare for some ridiculous reason 😂. The video is new but the still pictures are old renders that come out years ago

Any news on where Away fans are going? the plans appear to show them moving to blocks AL9 and AL8 in the lower and AM8,AM7,AU8 and AU7 in the upper.

I want the Kop to be bigger, but the club will need money. If the club invests into a Kop expansion, they most likely wouldn't see any major profits till over a decade later (maybe longer).

I have to say that this might be controversial but I would not have committed to doing the stadium up, staying there unless the other two stands could be done as the stadium looks a mess at the moment from some angles.

...however galling it is for me to admit, i think that old one up the east lancs is a tidier solution, this is ok but for LFC, ok ain't good enough. Looks like the architecture was done by competing companies and one bit of this was added to another bit of that without having seen what was joining on to what.

KDS next , same height as main stand and annie Rd stand, the steapen the Kop and again bring its height level with main stand and by 2035 well have an 80,000 seater Class Anfield imo

Unfortunately that would mean a lot of infrastructure being put in place which would cost hundreds of millions. Right to light would stop expansion of the Kenny stand without buying 3/4 streets behind it and after the bad blood from doing this with main stand I can’t see it anytime soon. There is talk of refurbishing the stand though. The Kop has its own issues with the A road and the church, the pub and possibly the club shop all in the way of any expansion. Then there is the issue of needing better transportation once the capacity exceeds a certain limit. Think whilst it’s not beyond the realms of possibility it is highly unlikely in the near future

Its part reason why our home record has always been great. Opposing teams can really feel hemmed on, especially when the atmosphere is noisy. They don't have the room to breath. Opposition players have talked about feeling suffocated.

Anfield is the 7th widest pitch in the league. In terms of square yards or metres, the pitch isnt that much smaller than most PL pitches.

@1701_FyldeFlyer it's more the overall size compared to Old Trafford, the Etihad, Spurs ground and Arsenal's. Those pitches are on a larger scale which allows for slightly more expansive football. Anfield's length is not so good. But, Anfield is a daunting place for the opposition for a reason and I guess with it being more compact that creates such an intimidating atmosphere.

Anfield has greater history, aura, fame/reputation, and, unlike Spurs' stadium, has legendary & iconic status (both at home and in Europe). It won't win any beauty contests, but as a venue it's superior.

Got to be an a fast enquiry into why the contractors have gone bankrupt. And why its taking so long to get another building firm in. 50,000 yesterday at anfield, 12,000 less then what it should be. Nevermind the people who have paid for season tickets. Already missed two home games. Again bad management on the owner's. Get a grip and sort the fucking stand out.
