A new-to-me 80's band I came across recently is House Of Schock with one s/t 1988 album, very much in the Missing Persons vein (actually maybe a cross between them & The Motels). Pretty good in its own right though with excellent vocals by Gina Schock (the Go Go's drummer) - a really solid record. Best tracks: "Middle Of Nowhere", "Just To Dream", "Walk In My Sleep", "Where Love Goes", "Never Be Enough", "The World Goes 'round". Maybe a feature for NEW WAVE Listening Party w/Steve Schnee! #3...?🤷♂Related band Dixon House Band with their 1979 Fighting Alone (not New Wave though, it's more 'straight-up' rock) - Chrissy Shefts plays guitar in both bands

The Fixx is my 'winner', they're IMO in a totally different league from everything else played in this episode. Great band with at least 6 excellent albums. Phantoms is my fave. When I first heard them they struck me similar to Talking Heads in that it just sounded like different music...Tears For Fears had some good moments
