Music comes from the soul and flows through the instrument. Andrew Huang, however, removed the middle man and turns his face, the window to his soul, into the instrument itself. Complex sounds from his complexion, a fascinating performance by his face.

Andrew, you are a big inspiration for me wanting to make music. I've watched most of your videos and I've learned a lot from them. I started a band with a couple friends a couple months ago and we are still finding our sound, but one day, I bet we will make it, and I want you to know, you are the main reason I want to continue. Have a good day, my guy.

Lol, I’m inspired too, and I’m not really even into making music (yet?) Still, I’ve learned a little about music here and there, and it’s fascinating to see the overlap between my own interests and what I notice in the videos of those passionate about music. In a way, their passions rub off on me a bit through what I learn from videos like Andrew’s.

Well, I may not know a lot about modular synths, but thanks to sciatica I do know a lot about tens unit gel pads! If you need them to stick better just dip your finger in a cup of water, drip it on the gel, and gently rub it around until it's evenly coated. They'll stick a lot better 😊 Awesome music, I hope I get a chance to play with a modular synth someday!

You just hit a jackpot when you said “more random random”. Computer are deterministic beasts. Best you can get from a computer is pseudo random. The signals you get from your face or plant tends to be more random unless there’s some underlying pattern on organisms I don’t know yet
