Part 2 of wheel and tire refurbishment and replacement. Our new to us 1958 Ford 871 Powermaster Select-O-Speed farm tractor needs a lot of work in order for it to be a reliable tractor at our homestead farm in upstate New York. First step - it’s time to replace the tires all the way around, refurbish the front wheels, the rear hubs, and replace the rotten rear rims. Neither of us have ever worked on a tractor before, what could go wrong?

Welcome to Big Spruce Farm! We are re-imagining this abandoned dairy farm in the finger Lakes region of upstate New York. It's been 50 years since BSF has been a working farm and it shows! The buildings are in poor repair, the meadows and fields are overgrown with invasive honeysuckle, multiflora rose, and even knotweed! Join us as we become stewards of the land and turn this 75 acre property into a sustainable homestead. We'll eradicate the invasives, restore native plants and trees, repair the barns, turn old pasture land into pollinator friendly native meadows, develop a new permaculture orchard, and generally create a healthy regenerative ecosystem for both man and beast.
