It seems they added Chromatic Seals as an additional material. This is a BoP material that has a time limit on purchase from faction vendor.... So unfortunately this gearing is now time gated.

This is only 1 side of the crafting stuff. The MAIN crafting with benches has a lot of other stuff to it with prismatic scarabs and other new materials.

Dunno if you mentioned it but the 2 perk items are boe as well as if you make it 700. Items that are bop that you can do this with is like the chardis set.

I assume this only works with a "random" 3rd perk. This wouldnt apply to named items with 3 fixed perks. Does any one know??

When upgrading a named item, does the level requirement of 60 impacts the new redrafted item? In other words, is it better to redraft name items with level 65 required item than a level 50 required item?

It does seem it excludes certain things, but hard to say as the new perks component werent in the PTR boxes we got and I have looted any yet myself sorry :(

i wonder how this impact crafting. Being able to craft BIS 700 is huge, but this is huger, im sure you can have a terrific set by only doing this, right?

are you certain the replica's aren't able to me made 700 when you swap the perk? I don't think the game can really tell whether you got it from a drop or got a replica.

REPLICA craft from that specifically, does not allow you to add a perk. It just crafts the dungeon replica at 680. At least those ones did.

So normal material crafting has a new material with Prismatic scarabs that lets you perfect craft an item with any perks you want. So essentially a completely perfect item with exactly what you want. This method shown here will still be costly material wise, azoth, gypsum, the dark matter etc. and take time of course. This will probably be a great secondary BiS option until you can make perfect BiS

There is no way to upgrade current gear past 625.

I had sub 625 chardis gear on the ptr and it lets me upgrade it. Dunno if it will work in live though, the UI says it needs to be 650+ but it was letting me do it. So maybe

Unsure. I didnt have pre-existing gear since this was PTR. But any upgrades I had there were opened from mutated gear chests, even pieces under 625 seemed to work for it. So maybe?

artifacts come from a variety of things. Chests, mobs, pvp reward track, theres 2 on free season pass also.

Partially. Regular weapon/armor crafting has the ability to perfect craft an item with you picking every perk on it. This method here will still be costly material wise and is locked perks matching the default item, but you get to pick the 3rd. Likely a good way to get 2nd best BiS before getting perfect BiS

this system is really good, but kind of sucks that most of the named items have 'magnify', which really isn't bad in itself, but when you have multiple items with it, it's a nightmare to distribute points.

Well considering you can ONLY have 1 artifact armor, 1 artifact weapon and 1 artifact jewlery equipped at max, I think it will be fine.. just use the remaining items to add points to other stats 🤷‍♂️

Magnify is based on attribute points u spent. So if u don't like to exceeds the attribute, just use another single attribute equipment in exchange.

Magnify gives more of a stat based on what your current highest stat is. I.E. If you have 250 dex and 200 con, 32 magnify will give you 32 more dex. Basically its a flex stat.

@@kotsosmavri1461It just makes these items more flexible accross multiple builds as you can essentially choose what you want the stat to be on these pieces. Zero downside to magnify.

Magnify sucks. If you have too much you can't distribute stats properly. It will dump all your points back and forth between two stats so you can't fine tune anything
